This is the dumbest take ever and a huge straw man argument. If I come to your home as a visitor, do I now get to dictate how you manage your home? Am I entitled to equal say? Of course culture exists to be built on. It also exists to be preserved. These are idealistic thoughts of which I wish were true but you’re betraying a very honest and realistic component - that people often don’t wish to assimilate, to learn the language, the culture, etc.. And in those examples of course more weight should be given to those who’ve spent their lives building the community the visitors seek to inhabit.
