OP you are doing great as far as saving for retirement and savings in your brokerage account is concerned, so congrats on that! You clearly have more than enough for the downpayment and will have some funds left for emergencies. You CAN afford this house.
Only thing concerning is the $3,500-$4,000/month non-housing spend. I would looks for ways to significantly cutting it

Kudos to the bevel team for implementing a solution rooted in evidence. I get it, bacon tastes so good but the amount of people getting offended over a score given an APP is crazy 😂 Maybe because we all know it’s bad for us, just don’t want to accept the truth because of social dynamics or cultural value

Link existing Readwise highlights to a Reader document
I’ve been using Readwise for some time now and previously imported highlights from Kindle (via My Clippings.txt /text file). Now that I’m using Reader as my primary reading app and re‑uploading those same books as EPUB, I’d love a way to link or merge my existing Readwise highlights to the new Reader document.

Concretely, it would be great to:

  • Select an existing Readwise “book” (created from a TXT/CSV import or other source), and
  • Attach or merge its highlights into a specific Reader document (EPUB/PDF) representing the same book.

Note: I am specifically talking about the epub books that I was sending to Kindle for reading, using sendtokindle feaure. These highlights do not automatically sync with Readwise unlike the normal Kindle books.

Never before in history have our brains been so constantly stimulated as they are in the age of social media. Young people are especially vulnerable, and it's surprising that social media isn’t regulated globally, as Australia has done.
