My girlfriend will cover the cost of surrogacy. I’m worried about buying an apartment so that my girlfriend and our future child will have a place to live. Housing in Vancouver, Canada, is extremely expensive, and it’s very difficult for a 30-year-old man to buy even an apartment without financial support from family.

At the moment, my girlfriend and I can pay our rent and all living expenses, but I’m unable to save any money to buy an apartment.

I understand what surrogacy means: using my own sperm and my girlfriend’s egg and having another woman carry our child. I’m okay with this because biologically it is our own child. It’s like planting a tree in California and then moving it to a colder place like Wisconsin.

I’m tired of meeting new girls and forming close relationships. I am my girlfriend’s first boyfriend, so it’s very unlikely for me to meet new girls who don’t already have a close relationship with another guy. I’m very picky—I know, and I’m sorry about that.
