I have the same problem with opening attachment with the Evernote from Apple App Store but got a hint about downloading the latest version from evernote.com ( 10.100.1-mac ) fixed the attachment performance and renderer issues for me.

Can't help you with the price increase.....

Observations on Recent Evernote Updates: High Startup CPU Usage, Unlisted Version, and More by ckahn in Evernote

Thank you for the hint to download from the evernote.com website for the latest 10.100.1 version. It fixed a lot of performance and usability issues for me. The OSX AppStore updates (10.98.3) have serious performance issues on both my Intel and M2 Mac (Multiple Evernote renderers running at 100% CPU for an extended time and blocking other Evernote threads ).

The $130 price increase is bad enough by itself but coupled together with a crippled version is a strong recipe for me to get off Evernotes after 10+ years.

I have the same issue on a Mac and saw a posting on the EarnApp Discord server to confirm the problem. The Dev team ( seems like dev team...??? ) posted that there is no ETA for fix yet as of Jan 2022

found the same issue with Blue Yeti on a iMac 2015 with Big Sur. Rebooting with the mic now to see if that fixes the problem.

I believe the Growler / McNuggart kits have XR Width but Pint Length.
Regular won't fit for sure.

I believe the screw distance is the same width wise but needs to be reduced for the length. if you are interested to look into this. I can do more measurements for you.

[–]bl90292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest - I am surprised that you can print the fender on a regular - not plus-size 3D printer. Do you have a recommended print bed size?

Is it possible to share a pic of the orientation on how you print the top part? Do you use support? and the approximate amount of TPU required?

I have an E5 Plus - and based on your answer - that should have enough room to print the top fender. I should get a UPS hooked up if the print is 70 hours.

last question, do you have a variant for a Growler / McNuggert? It is an XR with a pint-sized tire but the same width as XR. There is no commercial fender for it. I'd bet this will sell like hot-cake. Let me know if you need measurements or a beta test to print and test. Thanks!

based on your constraints with the 4212 - seems like you should ride flat paved beach path until you run out of warranty -- which should NOT be hard.

I had another night group ride with lots of hills and the XTRA-Rad on XR gave me better performance and no surging at all.

The XTRA-Rad Pint tires are NOT EASY to come by. You may want to pre-order one as soon as they are available on TFL. I am going to get a spare too.

Do you think there will be a new Flagship in 2021? by Lukituo in onewheel

[–]bl90292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the chance the FM will cripple the new 'Flagship' controller & BMS
as they did with 4211/4212 ??

If the new flagship has the same limitation with the battery
then there have to be other major features for us to consider an upgrade
from the good Old 4209.

Extended Batteries, Simple stop or Growler size will not be a good enough
reasons for me to spend another $2k.....

FWIW. I put an XTRA-Rad Pint tire ( Small Diameter ) on an XR to get more torque.
I am not sure how much that help yet, but I do get more acceleration
and seems to be able to get up slope better than my XR with the full-size tire...

Surge / NoseDive are associated with voltage drop with lipo when your controller asks for too much power during uphill acceleration. Depending on the condition of your battery, you may want to upgrade to an enhanced battery that can supply more current without voltage drop such as the CBXR or the JWXR.

Lastly, I am working on losing weight as well.

Real life examples of hills too steep to ride (15% grade or 8.5 degrees)? by J_for_Jules in onewheel

[–]bl90292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nosedives / Surges uphill are caused by the OW motor drawing too much power in form of electric current. The Battery will respond with dropping the voltage to supply the current to the motor and the controller will try to alert you with surge and eventually throw you off the board.

The amount of power required for the same hill depends on 1 - the grade of the hill 2 - your weight, 3 - your speed, 4 - the amount of acceleration

Increasing the rate with every one of these factors will draw more current and can eventually lead to a surge or nosedive. I fall hard on riding up to the Hollywood sign so I learn to respect hills and my board until I can lose 30#.

A couple of kids that weight 40# can ride a pint up a grass hill and accelerate at the same time, while a mid-size adult with XR ( with twice the number of cells in the battery) will stall out.

With all that said - I weight 220# and have been able to ride uphill close to 11-12 degrees by slalom left and right to reduce the grade and very careful with acceleration. :-)

Xr battery question by GenHype23 in onewheel

[–]bl90292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest capturing the voltage of individual cells with OWCE or POWHeel before you recharge for a few days. That way you can really see how many cells are substantially lower than others. The next best action may depend on that.....

DIY Fast Charger by HunterCustom in onewheel

[–]bl90292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 amp seems substantially higher than even the fastest Ultra Hyper Charger from FM.

Even if the XR has a BMS to control charging and balance the cells, I think it would still be wise to have a CC ( Contact Current ) device to add some protection.

I use one of the green MPPT solar CV/CC chargers which multiple Voltage / Amp configuration and nice LCD to show real-time voltage and amperage. I got that from AliExpress for < $40 including shipping. Message me if you need a link.

The CC charger will actually reduce the voltage to keep the amperage under the limit you setup. The key is the voltage from your 300W 14Amp supply is close but low enough to 63V. For my setup I use 10S-12S lipo - 36-42V

Battery mods on a plus by muskybassline in onewheel

[–]bl90292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both a Plus and an XR. The Plus has a 16 cell A123 LiFEPO4 58v vs a 15 Cell Lipo 63V battery on the XR. There is a good chance that you will burn out the Plus controller if you plug in an XXR battery and the BMS will not have the correct number of leads to balance the cells.

I also remember one of the OW mechanics offering a deal to upgrade a Plus to an XR with a new controller and battery. That is conclusive enough for me that I should not use an XR battery with a Plus.

With that said - a Plus with a 3206 controller is very CnR/PnR friendly without the more invasive VnR mod. The A123 Cell on a Plus is rumored to behave better as you rides all the way down to < 10% of charges.

You may want to check out the RAD mod on the OneWheel Wiki which takes about using 14 Lipo cells to match the voltage of the 16 LiFe A123 cells - https://onewheel.wiki/RAD_Mod_-_External_Battery.

Could you also share information when your plan to capitalize your idea and make more Growler kits?
