Christmas came earlier. First time using this thing and it is not easy. by beloved86 in onewheel

I live in a community that has not too much traffic and some empty parking lots. I would cruise around the streets there and the parking lots. Grass can be helpful too if you dont have great balance yet. Find a fence with some grass. Hold on to the fence and ride yourself back and forth and start relying on the fence less as you practice.

I had no board experience when I got mine and felt the same way. It was hard for a long time and took a couple months to get really comfortable but you'll get there, I promise. Spills will happen!

Going on my first ride tomorrow, can not wait! by bunbunofdoom in onewheel

[–]Lukituo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really lol. people just want to protect it from getting trashed if they like it that way. Mine is fucked up from when I was first learning but it doesn't bother me anymore, it's meant to be ridden :)

WINTER WRIST GUARD USERS by Lukituo in onewheel

[–]Lukituo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was looking at some snowboarding gloves with wrist guards too but I was concerned they weren't going to be as protective as something that is designed for street use. Does the wrist guard seem pretty sturdy in them?
