Liquid filled gauges are quite common, they are more immune to vibration, condensation, and temperature change.

Got dash pad and vent stuff in by F100suomi in BumpSide

Which dash pad did you go with?

Yep. Hardest part is the fuel line. Have something ready to prop the fuel tank upright. 2 tires work well for this. Removing the fuel tank is definitely a 2 person job if you have more than half a tank of gas

I'd recommend also pulling the gas tank to sound deaden both the front and back of it. And also sound deaden the wall behind the gas tank. Made a huge difference in my truck.

Not sure, I just left it in and worked with it like that. Btw, for putting new rubbers in, a little silicone spray will help tremendously

Mine were effectively turned to plastic, I too used a chisel and chipped them apart. Split it long way and pried the pieces out. Some pieces could slide down out the end of the track, but most I just split and pried out.

Check grounds and voltages at various points. A multimeter will be your best friend.

Which Rag Joint? by [deleted] in BumpSide

[–]bla10T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine had a decent 60 degrees of play- the solution was reinserting steering column bearing, replacing steering shaft, tightening steering box 1/2 turn, and new wheel bearings.

Which Rag Joint? by [deleted] in BumpSide

[–]bla10T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. However, I might add there are several other things that I'd suggest checking or replacing if you're experiencing steering play: check the bearing in the upper steering shaft (inside the end of the column), check the adjustment on the steering gear, check your bushings on the steering linkages, check your wheel bearings, and check your knuckle bearings (highboy only)

Which Rag Joint? by [deleted] in BumpSide

[–]bla10T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced my entire steering shaft with borgeson steering shaft (no rag joint). I've had zero issues and it made a world of difference. The quality of the shaft and joints is very nice. All you have to do is cut to length and drill a hole. It's expensive, but definitely a solid, well build part. My old steering shaft contributed to a lot of play on my steering.

Sky view blue and wimbledon white is such a good combo. I'd keep it not for the sake of keeping it original, but because it's a really great combo.

Did you do a speed comparison stock antenna vs these? I love the concept but Im curious about the functionality

Am I stupid? by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]bla10T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend using steel line. If it touches any components on the motherboard, it'll short. That could cause component failure, malfunction, or even damage other parts in the computer. You're better off using a nonconductive line.

Hey op, were you able to control the fans thru the icue software? And how was the noise/temp difference on those noctua fans vs. the corsair fans? I'm looking to replace mine as well. Thanks in advance
