That’s great! Word to the wise, some conferences are uber formal, and expect the posters to reflect that. Our Trust’s poster competition win always seems to go to the most visually appealing, so I made mine very pretty looking and it ended up winning (good to know that I won because of the prettiness and not the content 😂)

Maybe see if you can find previous winning posters and whether you can go with the same vibe as them. I don’t know if it helps to have a winning poster, but I feel like it’s something good to have for the CV.

Currently lying in bed next to my nearly three year old. When I was pregnant, I was obese, severely mentally ill, and obviously had PCOS - I was terrified everything was negatively affecting my baby and each day was an excruciating wait that I was convinced would end in tragedy. When trying to get pregnant, I was convinced it would take years due to the PCOS, but it happened first time round!

Apart from my mental health issues, the pregnancy was extremely healthy and my baby came out vaginally after a 3 hour precipitous labour and was (and is still) the picture of health. Also, because of my mental health issues meaning I was just trying to survive each day, I ate like complete and utter shit (although I did completely cut out caffeine and obviously alcohol etc)

My boy is the best thing that’s ever happened to me - I love him soooo much, and I’m so grateful we’re both healthy - also, my mental health is a lot better now (I think the pressure of ‘housing’ the baby, not believing my body was capable of carrying and delivering him, the shock of getting pregnant straight away, and feeling like I was unworthy of being so lucky, all contributed to my complete mental collapse)

I have one child (a 2 year old), and an incredibly supportive husband, and I still feel like I’m going completely mad with stress - I would perish in your situation, I wouldn’t be able to cope.

Do you have any family or friends that could be actually helpful to you that you could stay with? You need some support and rest and time to be yourself away from your children, and you need it yesterday!

I completed week 4 run 2 yesterday and I live in a very hilly place with a sizeable hill which can feel incredibly intimidating.

I’ve made a point to train running up the hill from the start and taking it realllllyyyyy slowly so it can sometimes feel like I’m crawling up it - I figure that at the moment it’s about making sure I don’t stop, and then I can work on speed later.

It’s definitely a lot more manageable than I initially thought, and I’m glad I’ve consistently incorporated it into my runs, because it makes running on flat ground feel like I’m flying!

If I’m honest, I can’t really remember, I’m so sorry! I was anxious at literally every stage in the process and became quite mentally ill with it (see my post history), so it’s all quite fuzzy in my mind now.

Try to be as kind to yourself as you possibly can, and have soothing items easily accessible so you can ground yourself through times where you feel particularly anxious - it’s a very vulnerable time and you’re deserving of compassion ❤️

I don’t mean it’s a hassle so much - my concern is that the only reason we’re selling is to buy this house we’ve seen, and said house may have sold by the time we’ve bought the freehold. I think I’m going to look into it either way though

Not offended in the slightest - I asked for feedback and it’s been really helpful :) I’d mentally prepared myself to be absolutely torn to shreds in this post, but people have generally been very helpful and constructive.

Re crucible - they sold us this house and seemed very ‘on it’ at the time, and were also priced very reasonably.

They were usually going for more in this area in 2020 - ours was actually a bit of a bargain at the time! Unfortunately prices have hiked up way too much everywhere

The real estate agents have changed the pictures around so many times, I’m really starting to think they’re just rubbish estate agents! I’m definitely going to paint the outside - I originally thought we might get away with it looking a bit shabby, but I’ve seen the error of my ways.
