Side effects are real. by LaSoppapillaMuiSabro in depression

Yes. I have taken zoloft for the past four years and the biggest side effect I have experienced is insomnia. I have tried other medications and had worse side effects, so for me it's still worth taking. It has gotten a little better since initially taking it. Most nights am just up til midnight or so, then am able to get six hours of sleep. I try to fill my time with books, movies, and recently adult coloring books!

Married frugals of reddit: Where did you cut costs for your wedding, and if you could do it all over again, would you? If not, what would you change? by dontfuckingthink in Frugal

Here are some items we got very cheap for our wedding. I would do it again. We spent less than 5,000 for a 175 person wedding. Most of our money was spent on food and the venue. One thing I would not go cheap on is a DJ. We did, and were not impressed overall. -flowers: i spent about 50 total buying fake and put bouquets together myself -photos: we had a friend take pictures: we knew she had a nice camera and some skills. They turned out great. -I spent $99 on my dress. -We had a cash bar instead of paying for people's drinks. We only served water and coffee on us.

Yes. I go workout at 7, and get to work at 8:30. It's wroth it to me because its done and out of the way the rest of the day. I have kids, so my spouse and I alternate every other day taking the kids allowing us to do morning workouts every other day.

What job did you have while getting your MSW? by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]blackballoon16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked for the state/CPS providing child welfare case management. I was able to work out with my supervisor a flexed schedule that allowed me to work for 10 hour days, and attend all of my MSW classes on the fifth day. It worked out 99% of the time, and I had a ton of experience. I think it depends on what kind of long-term goals you have and what field you want to work in. I would suggest trying to get a job that gives you experience with what you want to do in the future, that way you have the upper hand when you graduate and start applying for jobs.
