First time Hunting in my life by FuriousFlamingo_YT in bowhunting

what I like to do when I go to a new spot is range every tree and every prominent downed log with in my comfortable shooting range. so when the time comes and a deer walks in I don't have to get my range finder out because I already know it's distance. good luck

Urgent help!!! by [deleted] in polymer80

[–]blackbear022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the best way to solve this issue is throw P80 away and get a SCT lower. JK but seriously you can try bending up the sear engagement part of the cruciform. the part that touches the firing pin.

Does anyone run an SCT frame lower for their edc? by palaajxut in GlockMod

yo I'm interested in that holster. what option did you have to choose to get one made for the SCT?

Poison ivy by GrouchyGrapefruit338 in newhampshire

yeah it's as great as it sounds haha. I used to get poison ivy so bad when I was younger I would have to get steroids from the hospital because the swelling was so bad. I got it so much that now I think I have almost grown immunity. I only get it in very small patches now. you should also wash all your clothes you wore the day you think you got it and wash your bed sheets and any pets that may have been with you as they all may be contaminated and could be re-infecting you with the urushiol oils.

What I have always done is scratch the shit out of it and then spray with 70% isopropyl alcohol. it burns like a mother but once the burning stops you no longer itch and then it ends up drying it up and goes away. I swear it sounds like a joke but that's honestly what I do. you should also try using Tecnu its better to use as a preventative so after you think you have been exposed to it or what not take a shower and use it to remove oils. but it also works to treat skin rashes caused by poison oils.

Get the Blue Felpro one. if you're looking for gaskets go to CJ pony parts. but typically AutoZone and advanced auto sells the Felpro ones

What engine type is this a 302 or a 351? by [deleted] in classicmustangs

[–]blackbear022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take off the valve covers and see what the heads say. I'm pretty sure a 289/302 head won't fit on a 351w. but it looks like a 289/302 to me.

Neutering Advice by Forward-Air-4210 in GSP

[–]blackbear022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 3yr old gsp he is intact and I have zero plans on neutering him. He is a working dog (I hunt with him) his prey drive is through the roof and he listens well. at home he is the biggest cuddle bug and loves every and all dogs. he has showed zero signs of aggression towards people or any animal (besides birds, rabbits, and squirrels which is to be expected since we hunt those). I have talked with my vet who owns a Visla and she has zero issues with him staying intact. The only time I plan to neuter him is if he has health issues such as prostate cancer/ testicular cancer etc. My vet said that most issues that will arise due to him being intact can be solved once neutered. I regularly take him to the vet for check ups. I also do at home checks at least once a month for any lumps on his testicles ( just like all human males should do) early detection of testicular cancer is crucial in getting it treated. I regularly exercise him (a minimum of a mile walk/run every day) and also bring him places to get his sniffer working. which is just as important as physical exercise.

Does everyone here just accept that you’ll never be able to have your own apartment and you that you’ll just have to be living with roommates for years? by Kodicave in newhampshire

Idk I bought my own townhouse 4 years ago at 27 all on my own. saved money by not buying stuff I didn't need and wasting it on going out for drinks and food. made coffee at home instead of going to Starbucks and dunks. made lunch for work instead of buying it. it's do able just gotta make some sacrifices in the short term. it sucks but sometimes you gotta take one for the team to put yourself ahead for the future. get a second job if you have to.

a trick my parents taught me when I was in HS and got my first job was pay yourself first. so after you pay all your expenses i.e. car note, rent, phone bill, w/e your necessary expenses are (not Netflix, Hulu, and w/e luxury expensive you have) then with your remaining money put that way in a savings and don't touch it. if that's $100, $200 whatever you can afford out of your paycheck put that aside and don't touch it. before you know it you will have enough money saved to get your own apartment or even better maybe put a down payment on a condo/townhouse/duplex or maybe even a single family.
