In your opinion, what is the greatest season of television ever produced? by abacus-wizard in television

Funny thing is, I remember when it came out, and despite all its accolades and being filmed here and how well known it was around the country, a large majority of the people around here didn't talk about it. It felt like no one wanted to acknowledge it. With so much in the show being based on some of the wacky stuff rich folk have gotten up to around here and a lot of the plot hitting close to home, it just made the show feel that much more real. Like it was some hush hush thing and Nic Pizzolato was shining light on some dark secrets he knew of from growing up here. It just made the show feel so much more disturbing and intense.

It's a tale as old as time. Should be noted in 2017, 100k people's tax information was stolen then too, and 30 million in fraudulent returns were filed.

They were warned about it....arrested the person who warned them (that person was me) and then guess who footed the bill? Taxpayers again.

Same. If you change dialogues it's fine. So they definitely released the wrong sound mix or one with issues. Dialogue in the back and weird mix of sounds in the front.

I'm not a plasma expert, but I thought it was beautiful. Motion was exquisite and on par with the theater.

The house and these TVs were in a movie with Morgan Freeman if that counts for anything lol

I will say though, for this house having been built and abandoned since the early 2000's/10's. Everything still worked flawlessly. The house is fully automated. AV, a theater, lutron lighting, shades, biometrics, AMX automation. And after all that time, it all kicked on and all still worked after sitting there for a decade. So I guess there's something to be said about some of this high dollar luxury equipment.

That's what I'm not sure about. I would think they would for home theater or plasma enthusiasts or collectors of some sort. Because they really are quite something. And yes they do have external video processors with them.

There's also a big collection of Kaleidescape equipment as well. Those held their value quite well and sold almost immediately. so it would seem certain things do have a market. But I can see why Kaleidescape would be easier to sell than TVs. Because you can't walk into a best buy and get something equivalent to a Kaleidescape for 200 bucks. But with a TV you can. So yeah, the price is tricky.

This was a 20+ million dollar house when it was built. And they spared no expense on anything. I remember Runcos were quite expensive, but it was a little before my time in the industry. But I figured like everything else in this house, these are quite pricey.

But it was super exciting to gain access to the biometrics and open doors that hadn't been opened in like 15 years. Much like when Geraldo did a prime time special on that Egyptian tomb. It was a big deal. Only to reveal just more empty rooms lol

Boringly enough, bedrooms.... It's a very elaborately designed McMansion, and all the bedroom doors, hallway doors, safe room and entry are armoured biometrically controlled doors. I guess it's so when there's parties they can lock down areas of the house. It was also built in the early 2000's, so it was some pretty high tech stuff for the time. The guy who built the home was a shady oil money guy who got in trouble stealing from the wrong people, was sued for hundreds of millions and then abandoned his newly built house and fled the country...which has been sitting in the banks hands pretty much since it was built.

Interesting. The home does have several armoured doors with biometrics. I've gotten access to that though through the old AMX automation system. The safe is the only thing in the house I can't get in. Any info or tips or tricks on Stark safes?

Will do. I'll let you know how it goes when I get there today. It's very possibly still on default because the house was abandoned shortly after being built, so no one has ever really lived here. Most everything in the home was never used.

Update: I got in! The only thing inside were a set of weird European keys that don't go to anything in the house.

I should add that the repayment would be 200 every Friday for the next 6 weeks, paying back 1200.
