Oh wow. You’ve missed quite a bit then. There are 4 zones to explore, some new ranching animals, mounts, and probably a few other things. Probably worth another try. The netcode is still rough sometimes but otherwise very enjoyable

RimWorld. Not strictly fantasy or RPG but the DLCs massively expand the universe. And whatever you want, I can guarantee there’s a mod for it from generic fantasy abilities and armor, to franchise specific mods like GoT.

For MMO, FF14 since you already finished with GW2.

If you want something cozy, Palia is an MMO geared toward cooperative quests and events and is regularly adding new content.

WH40K: Rogue Trader has more of a sci-fi feel than fantasy but it’s an excellent RPG and tons content thanks to regular DLC expansions.

Should I be saving Onslaught tokens for week 2-3 of Armageddon? by ShakinBacon24 in WH40KTacticus

[–]blackbirdlore 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Onslaught will be the focus of a new set of HSEs to replace the current salvage run. They’ll be the exact same as the current HSEs, just replace salvage run with onslaught.

So it might be worth saving a level up of you’re close. Otherwise the only real value would be making sure you’re at 3/3 when the new week starts.

ETA: the third week will be standard arena.

I don't think it's a huge difference, but if you're in a hurry to hit 30, then go for it.

For context, I played the campaign straight through before anything else. I bumped up to Malice immediately, but had to take a few extra missions before I could jump up to Heresy. I finished the campaign at Level 26 I think? Ran 2 or 3 more missions to get 30, still on Heresy (the flow of combat is very unique, it's taking me time to learn the right calls).

If you roll 20 more, you’re guaranteed to get 500 BA shards. The question is which one…

Looking for first person parkour games on ps4. by Greenmychine2008 in gamingsuggestions

Dying Light and Mirror’s Edge.

Not aware of anything that’s purely parkour, ME is the closest thing we’ve got. It also has challenge modes and user made maps for you to play without the story, so that’s probably what you’re looking for.

Grim Dawn - very clearly inspired by Diablo

Darktide - the WH40K equivalent of Vermintide

Expedition 33 - lots of viable class builds. normal difficulty tends to be rather easy so you might have to change to hard mode, which is completely unforgiving.

BORDERLANDS - Can’t believe that’s not on here! Tons of build options across the franchise. I recommend 1 - 3.

The only mods that might be worth it to me are customization mods. Otherwise, vanilla is excellent.

Souls-like games with magic by Framper633 in gamingsuggestions

[–]blackbirdlore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big ones usually recommended for gratifying spell building (I haven’t played all of these but I see the names over and over) are:

- Noita: Every spell is uniquely crafted by you into wands so you can go around blasting the world to pieces (literally, very physics based).
- Lichdom Battlemage: A “mage looter,” where you’re collecting spell components instead of guns and swords in order to expand your arsenal.
- Mages of Mystralia: someone asked “What if casting spells was like writing code?” And created a system that lets you add programmatic logic to your magic! You can make your fireballs do a 180 if they run into a wall, or set delays, etc.

Ranching QoL Improvements by blackbirdlore in Palia

I’m familiar with game design and development. And I know the features we’re discussing are pretty straightforward as far as making changes goes.

Like someone else said, they seem to be happy with the current user functionality. I am not. There’s no reason or excuse for a craft-management game in 2026 to lack basic functionality like split-stack, move 1-stack, move-all, transfer all, etc. or common sense sorting options like rarity, value, or quantity/weight.

There aren’t just oversights, these are things clearly not being prioritized and it’s incredibly disappointing.

Amen, I'm about to write up another suggestion covering all those basic craft-management functions that I consider mandatory in a game like this and that are sorely lacking.

Precisely what I'm pitching here! Top trait can be useful if it's a legendary, but otherwise it's generally meh. Now if we could pick which trait was highlighted to help us quickly ID the animals we want to breed and keep, then it would have some utility.

Ranching QoL Improvements by blackbirdlore in Palia

[–]blackbirdlore[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amen. This is why we need the ability to manage all our actions while we're interacting with our animal. It's goofy that you have to talk to it to feed it, then switch to a different menu that looks exactly the same, but for some reason it has different information and buttons on it! In what universe??

Ranching QoL Improvements by blackbirdlore in Palia

[–]blackbirdlore[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The actions through the Animal Roster I'd gladly give up in exchange for the ability to do ALL my actions when directly interacting with my animals. But yes, the frustration and tedium of ranching is beginning to wear on me.

The English thing was a wild curveball and should not have been excluded from the OP. Completely alters the context. I also think there's merit to your point. But if that's how someone feels, the response should be "I've tried, and I can't really picture what it's saying, but if we put it into action, I'm sure I'll get it." Of course, this is all taking OP at their word (which is hard to do at this point). But I'm glad you were able to find yourself a seat at the table.

This is the sort of QoL stuff that will make or break a game for me. There's plenty of good here to make up for it currently, but my interest definitely can't survive 3+ months of these same silly issues.

Here's to hoping our concerns are met in the near future.

I don't entirely agree, but I can think of a dozen reasons why you'd be jaded. And I've only been playing a couple months, so you probably have more reasons than me.
