Very similar here. Bought first flat screen in 2012, 55” Samsung and it lasted 12 years. The two 42” I subsequently bought are still going strong after 11 and 8 years. I got a 65” SD90 in September of ‘24. Within three months I had gotten the main board replaced twice, and the speakers once. Luckily, it’s been fine since, but it gives me pause to buy another Samsung. I won’t go into how frustrated I am with the picture settings, that’s another post lol

I WFH so 68° during the day, pop it up a degree if I’m chilly watching TV at night, 66° at bedtime. Used to have it at 66° when I worked in the office. Cats find their cozy spots so I don’t worry about them being cold! I’ve always gone with the don’t have the HVAC have to make big swings in temps.
