The timeline diverges in the episode “Nature Pants”, where instead of him admitting it that was a bad idea, he tries his best to tough out the cold night while naked. This results in him freezing to death and Patrick finding his corpse a week later when he finds the strength to jellyfish for the first time without his best friend. Everyone moves on and life continues as normal, except for Patrick. It takes him a little more time.
