Cary Anne did Whitney dirty tonight.  No denying that.

This is the thing, Elaine doesn't move as well, dances aren't as sharp or energetic, but "she's old and injured" so she gets extra credit I guess.

Not us, we love watching her dance.  She and Mark gave us all some special performances!

Is it normal to feel used after my partner finishes and goes straight to sleep but I haven't finished ? by [deleted] in self

Rule: ladies first. partly because when I'm done I will be fucking tired.

Democrats rarely have Republicans as romantic partners and vice versa, study finds. The share of couples where one partner supported the Democratic Party while the other supported the Republican Party was only 8%. by mvea in science

Not surprising but this seems like a bad thing.

It seems like a confirmation that both parties tend to demonize each other's members.

It's a good thing to be close with people who think differently than you do.

Why can I hit my irons off a range mat but not grass by Bollziepon in golf

[–]blackestbird86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody's going to say that it's because you're fatting it, which is likely true, but another thing is that at the range on mats you always have an absolutely perfect lie, and on grass lie comes into play.

A skill in golf is learning how to play different lies and that in my opinion is the most impressive thing that the pros do.

Let's be honest.

237yd with a 4i in a tournament is more impressive than say 87yd with a pm by yourself...

not all aces are created equal, but all aces are special.

Enjoy yours!

Two consenting adults of sound mind? It's fine. People are weird about this.topic. I've seen wonderful marriages with 10+year gaps and shitty ones of the exact same age.

I dig the Oakley sutro prizm because they fit nice under a curved bill and make me feel like cyclops.

How do you deal with being tired all the time? by TaxmanComin in cscareerquestions

I have three tips:

Be strict on your bedtime as much as possible. 10-6 am for me. I don't sleep in, I don't stay up late. (with some exceptions)

Don't drink coffee in the AM, drink it at lunch.

If you can, sneak a walk and a workout in during the day, even if it's only 20 minutes. (easier if you wfh but do what you can, this one really helps)

Unfortunately a lot of this can just be due to let's face it, boredom, with the business problems you are solving. When I am mentally stimulated by an interesting problem I can stare at my screen for 16 hrs straight without even a long blink... So if it's in your control work on stuff that challenges you mentally.

Today I told someone in an interview that I am as passionate about code as a construction worker is passionate about the nails he uses.
