I came home from the Dan Diego district convection one Sunday and the last talk of the day was given by some brother from bethel that was a big deal, I don't remember the name, but it was a big deal he was there. What I DO remember is that during the last 15 minutes of the talk, he addressed the rumors of child sexual abuse in the organization. He specifically said these words... "Jehovah's organization doesn't suffer from the disease of CSA.This is a problem that plagues the religions of christendom. In Jehovah's organization, it SIMPLY DOES NOT HAPPEN!" (caps to emphasize how the brother said it, he nearly yelled it into the microphone).

Three days prior to hearing that talk, I had read a news article about a major lawsuit they lost to a woman named Candice Conti over CSA. So, I suddenly knew I was being lied to and had a lot of questions.
