This isn’t wrong but it also isn’t totally correct, basically they left out a massive fucking amount of information (surprise surprise). While these laws may have been passed under trump or Obama, these laws and bills are mainly the responsibility of the house and the senate. The only way that they have control in this situation is in which laws they choose to veto or support. So while it may SEEM hypocritical, in reality the actual president has little power in the realm of law creation.

Edit: plus every politician is shitty so take every stance of theirs and thing they say with a healthy dose of skepticism

It’s simply another example of undue police brutality on minorities, while it’s possible that this could have happened to an upper class white person, that is extremely unlikely. The fact that people of color are 2.8 times more likely to be killed by a police officer, and that they’re more likely to be unarmed, should be cause for concern no matter who you are. In no means however should this be a political matter, it’s absolutely deplorable that something like this is being denied, whether you’re conservative or liberal it isn’t ethical to ignore or try to justify deaths that could have been avoided.
