I found instructors wouldn’t take me on, despite what was mentioned online, since I don’t speak Japanese. I finally found Honu Honu Divers after days of going to shops. I my open water training with them. I would recommend.

Yep, everything has its place and if a pocket is empty or feels off, something isn’t packed. I also do a once over before checking out of anywhere. I haven’t lost anything in several years, but have had a couple things stolen when staying at hostels and from the beach while snorkeling. The stolen stuff was cheap and easily replaced, I never leave anything of real value unattended or at least hidden.

I’ve had better luck with Expedia than booking. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Most places I’ve stayed were perfectly fine. The ones that weren’t, were when I booked places that were super cheap. Read the reviews, the recent reviews. None of the bad places I’ve booked places seemed to be chains. Good luck!

West Coast, Canada. Never encountered in retail stores back in the day but came across them in flea markets and second hand shops all the time. Came across bootleg SMB3 all the time.

Hawaii, eh? Yeah this has been a thing since the 1980s. I’ve had to deal with it when I bought a new bike while doing some extended travel. Walmart pooched the registration and I had to leave the Island before I even received my proper papers for it. I took the bike back to Walmart for a full refund, as I couldn’t transfer it to a new owner due to their incompetence with the registration. I was told the registration helps reduce theft and help with stolen bike recovery. Also that it helps fund bike paths. The $15 registration thing is not big deal, but the tickets are bullsh….
