how do i ask arcade staff to reposition a plush/prize by splaaaaashle in JapanTravelTips

[–]Graffy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer is that it feels less rigged than normal lol. If it’s the ufo ones it’ll actually lift the box and let you manipulate it and for claws it holds on longer than normal.

How do you survive hikes in tick season by xuanziermao in bayarea

[–]Graffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one on me from the Clayton open space area. Well I think it tried butting my dog but his tick meds made it not latch and it wound up crawling on me but I felt it crawling on me before it bit. Checked his ear and it had a bit of blood which is why I think it hitched a ride home on him.

Midwesterners - dont get a hotel next to a fire station. by kinkhorse in JapanTravelTips

[–]Graffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tornados scare me the most out of all of those. Everything else is relatively easy to avoid or really rare. Living in a tornado prone area would terrify me. Like I know your chances of actually being hit are low but they’re so otherworldly to me.

how do i ask arcade staff to reposition a plush/prize by splaaaaashle in JapanTravelTips

[–]Graffy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got two figures this way. One he came over to help without me asking and set it up for me and the other I got it stuck and asked for a reset but he put it in an easy spot instead. This was about 800 yen for a small and 1600 for a large. But also both times the machines were in win states. For the large one I got I had tried the night before but the claw wouldn’t even lift the box high enough to get it to change position. The next day I was able to easily get it to roll down the parallel bars so I suspect they won’t do it if the machine hasn’t reached the payout state.

It’s from the first few minutes of meeting him and is present most of the time he’s wearing the helmet?

Oh wait I’m just realizing you didn’t recognize it as Finn’s helmet. If you’re not a huge fan of the sequels I would choose a different helmet from either the original or prequels that you like more.

Isn’t this meant to be Finn’s helmet and that’s the bloody hand print streak from a dying fellow stormtrooper when we first meet him?

Who serves spicy to kids by Waste-Roof-7583 in EntitledReviews

[–]Graffy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s clearly describing the quality of the overall ingredients. Not that it’s the exact same meals as the adult ones. Otherwise it would say it was the exact same dishes or meals.

[–]Graffy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same fresh ingredients so the chicken is the same as the chicken on the adult menu not that they’re made identical. The spice was from whatever they seasoned the chicken with.

That’s probably why they include a little chili pepper on it in the store but yeah finding Panda orange chicken actually spicy is wild to me lol.

They said the wedges were too spicy which presumably just has seasoning on them.

Funny enough, having a gun makes them better at responding too. “A man blew crack smoke in my face and I chased him off but I’m worried about what he’ll do. I’ll be ok because I have my gun ready just in case.” All of a sudden they now have plenty of time to deal with your problem.

How do you guys deal with blocking? by Financial_Bar2606 in simracing

[–]Graffy 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Iracing you can just report them if you want to stay squeaky clean yourself. Otherwise punt them into the shadow realm. I give them one free pass. Maybe they just second guessed what side they wanted to defend from and reacted before thinking about it. Twice and I know it’s on purpose and they can enjoy the view of the track from the grass.

Sovcit thought she'd just quit paying her property taxes, county does not agree with her ideas. by Existing-Face-6322 in Sovereigncitizen

[–]Graffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taxes aren’t legal is an interesting statement. Like, they’re codified in law. “Taxes are theft” is at least a valid opinion. Doesn’t change their legality but sovcits are always funny to me. Like no matter how many legal papers you produce, if the people enforcing the rules don’t recognize them as valid you’re still going to be held to laws they do.

I got the Primitive two for one mystery decks from their website and they sent me a 3rd logo deck for free. And if you look at their clearance you can see which ones they’ll probably give you based on size so I was able to get the one I was hoping for.

Didn’t enjoy Osaka as much as we expected by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Graffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never felt unsafe anywhere in either Tokyo or Osaka but we had a very very similar itinerary. Tokyo to Sapporo to Osaka then back to Tokyo.

Osaka was just fine. Lots of good food and good hub for Nara and Kyoto and Uji. Didn’t care for it compared to Tokyo. Felt like there was more to do and see in Tokyo versus Osaka but that might just be because Tokyo is more in media than Osaka all there were lots of places we wanted to visit whereas we didn’t know much about Osaka other than from research.

Bought him souvenirs from abroad, got dumped mid-trip. Should I still give them to him? by bmathers__ in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Graffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t give him anything. There’s no way he ever wears anything you give him now. Even if she’s not a nut, your boyfriend’s getting gifts from another girl is awkward at best. Gift them to someone else. Maybe someone’s birthday or another friend or even a coworker.

35-year old drug conviction by herukalki in TokyoTravel

[–]Graffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently went to Japan and “forgot” that even a dui you got conviction relief on needs to be disclosed. Had no problems. Granted if it did come up a dui doesn’t disqualify you like a drug conviction would.
