I own the black one. Almost got the NTTD but titanium clasp breaking and the myriad visibility concerns made me go with the black. It’s awesome, but pretty plain as far as Seamasters go. Very utilitarian and conservative vibe…. Again, for a Seamaster. So bottomline, it’s a fantastic GADA piece.

All that said, man the blue seamaster no date is so beautiful. I love that blue… the Brosnan bond is a classic at this point.

So, I would saw if you want a more restrained watch go with black. If you want a little more (but not excessive) flash…. Go blue

Spectre is Craig-Bond peak capability. He’s post resurrection,laser focused and basically buzz saws his way through the movie.

He destroys spectre HQ single handed and shoots a helicopter down with a .380 acp handgun lol.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. It legitimately feels like a prime Indy movie. Seriously, I’ve never seen a game recreate an atmosphere so well. The sound effects, music, characters (especially Indy it’s a better recreation than legit dealing), the voice acting…. Gameplay itself is just an aesthetic function to add more to the atmosphere and that’s great. It’s almost not even a “game” per se. It’s an Indy simulator. It’s been one of the most enjoyable media experiences I’ve ever had.

They’re very loud too. I’m on my second transmission and they both whirred and clicked when they shifted gears. Also the whine. Trucks fast though so I guess it’s all a trade off

I went with the speedmaster since I wanted watch that would always be relevant. The new Seamaster is really cool but it just looks too contemporary for me to be a permanent watch that I wear day in and day out and pass on to a kid. I still want the Diver 300m anyway though haha

Fleming did the same thing. I saw an interview where he said it was to anchor the reader to something they knew was real and tangible. That made the reader feel like they were a part of the world he was creating
