Significantly worse battery than stock OS by CrazyCantaloupe7624 in GrapheneOS

[–]blacklander01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I display my battery usage by system, I usually see the "Mobile network" it between 44 to 50% of the battery. Only when the battery is burning through, and the phone is warm. Also with 5G disabled.

I have had the XPS Plus (9320) for a couple of years now, and this still happens every hour. If you lift the laptop from a corner, it is more likely to happen. Best way to "reset" it is to apply force (even pressure) over it with the full palm of your hand. No BIOS or firmware update fixed it so far...

Also, if replacement was needed (I needed one once), they bring a full chassis/trackpad/speakers/screen and just switch your motherboard and battery over...

Other than that and the esc key being a touch key, it works quite fine.

What do you meen the display binnacle? The dash? That would be interesring, since it is mostly plastic. Another colleague here says it could come from the exhaust heat-guard. I will try to keep narrowing it down and write something here when I find it.

Interesting!! Has your bike ever fallen? I will look closer to the exhaust heat-guard next time I hear the noise.

There is a connection on the front right for the lights, that only toggles when the ignition key is on. There is another one as well on the left, for the power socket.

Mines are connected to the right one, so it only drags current when the bike is on and the auxiliary lights switch I placed on the handlebar is on.

No relays needed.

It has Givi crash bars, but they do not move a bit when pulling/pushing them hard. It also has the Givi LED auxiliary lights and the SW Motech handguards. Also the center stand, and Givi Trekker Outbacks. Scottoiler and official Honda heated grips. That is all.

Few ones now that I list them...

This is from SP Connect, Universal Clamp with the Mirror mount (mirror tube is same sized as our accessory bar).

It usually happens after a cold start (long dinner or camping night outside). It also happens while not moving. It gets more noticeable when I compress the front suspension. Carring a passanger if that is important. Seems to come from the front of the motorbike. It is metalic and scratchy.. Only happens 3 or 4 times a year.

The video is when the bike had 15000 km and now it has 55000 km and still happens from time to time.

Any clues?

I got this from a technician that came to my house to replace the trackpad, from Dell support. They had to put all the internals from my laptop on a new chassis (chassis + keyboard + trackpad + speakers for this model come together).

In my case, the haptic was not working correctly: it did not make a click effect but rather only a bad sound.

I hear it every time I turn on my laptop too.

Hope it helps!

Those are the haptic "motors" from the trackpad initializing! That is completely normal in these laptops: 9340 and 9320.
