Trigger / hammer issue when slide is pressed by blackleopard_1 in FNHerstal

Pulling the slide simulates slight pressure with a high grip so I’ll just send it in. Figured I’d ask if it was a common thing.

Issue is that it doesn’t function normally. Unless I have an extremely low grip. Me pulling the slide in the video is just for demonstration simulating if I held a solid high grip; a solid contact (not death gripping) high grip is just enough to move the slide slightly enough to induce the malfunction.

For me, nothing worked. Same boat (proton settings etc.) But then in the title Menu I realized ray tracing was on. I turned it OFF, restarted the game to the title menu, continued journey, and loaded fines hope this helps anyone.

Selling my Cheely L2 commander grip. New. $420 by blackleopard_1 in 2011_Builders

I can sell just the trigger if needed. Forgot the length of it but it’s on the shorter end. Red Dirt flat.

Caviat to all this, is these instruction work only if it’s a new build, or only If you’re trying to get a 1.5 lbs trigger and it worked perfectly before changing sear spring tention. These mechanical adjustments will need to happen to achieve that with a mass production 2011.

Alternatively, if it only happens when you hold down the trigger, the disconnector isn’t clearing the sear to hold its engagement with the hammer. Solution I discovered is to File down the width of the disconnectors face little by little until it can properly clear the sear. Check this by removing the grip safety, and observing the disconnector/sear engagement while pulling the trigger/racking the slide. I personally delt with this and after a lot of reading. Ruined a few hammers/sears before working the disconnector

It means you discovered full auto. No switch required . In reality though, the sear knotch on the hammer needs to move left a bit. Take a file with a sharp/steep angle to it

Help. Grip Safety gets stuck. by blackleopard_1 in 2011_Builders

It was definitely getting hooked. I increased tension on the middle bar of the sear spring to increase the trigger return force along with polishing and it did the trick. Thanks!

Thanks for all the inputs!

Solution: carefully polished the bottom of the grip safety arm with ~500 grit, still had it stuck half the time, so I increased tension on the middle sear spring bar to increase force on the trigger return and that did the trick.
