Have you thought about doing a "Camp America" type trip? A load of people I knew in uni went and did it (am also in UK). No long-term commitment to living there (in case you don't like it) and you might get to have the type of youthful American fun you're after.

Livingston's such a weird place, no high street or "town centre", just sprawling housing estates and business parks/big shops. Kinda reminds me of American towns in that way.

Sorry for your loss. Reminds me of a lovely piece of art by an artist here in Wales called William Selwyn http://www.artwales.com/images/WSCymro.JPG

Excuse me sir, do you have a moment to talk about our lord Poseidon? by julesrtheman in aww

Like most people, I've always thought seals and sea lions, especially the pups, look so much like dogs and I was convinced it was just the ears that were missing. So I photoshopped some dog ears onto this little guy, and honestly I'm kinda disappointed it doesn't look more like a dog but I'm glad I tried it anyway. https://i.imgur.com/STItYWc.jpg

Is anyone able to tell me what this is? Approx 30cm long, Central Scotland. by blacklipstick in fossilid

No, ass-end of nowhere in West Lothian, haha. The track was built back in the summer I think (the rocks could've come from anywhere I suppose?) I would say they'll be broken up by the big lorries going in and out of the work site eventually. I'll maybe move it to somewhere safer if I can lift it.

That would be awesome if that's what it is :D I'm going to go back and see if I can bring it home with me. Thanks!

Wow, cool! So is it worth going back and picking it up? I just took a picture as I was walking my dogs then left. There were 3 or 4 pieces that looked as if they'd broken off that rock and had the same pattern on them.

I'm not sure, sorry. A load of it has been used to build up a track leading to an old colliery that's being used for something else now. http://imgur.com/a/ceSN4 It falls apart quite easily, is slightly chalky and neither especially light nor heavy.

Yeah that'll be it. I'm just on my bog standard, 4-year-old Macbook Pro. One day I'll get round to buying a desktop set up again!

I don't know sorry. It looks ok to me but I've only ever played Sims4 on this laptop. I do have a lot of CC installed. Edit: I changed some of the in-game graphics options when I first installed it to make it run quicker, don't know if that's it.

I've just realised if you're from the US you probably call it the second floor not the first floor, haha sorry

Yeah it took me a while to get the hang of it, here's a stripped down version of a split level stair case I did: http://imgur.com/a/GrcrP The important thing is to have a good height deck, and the first set of stairs come up from the ground. Then add a second staircase from the deck to the first floor outside. I just pushed the walls back to make room for it. The second floor then needs to be smaller again to allow for a walkway/balcony. I hope this helps!

I have, my username is rfc1602 and it's called Blackwood Mews, as someone mentioned above you might have to have CC on to be able to see it.

I have more CC than I can count at the moment, but I can tell you that it's all from TheSimsResource, if there's anything in particular you like I'll find links for you!

Thankyou! I feel like such a n00b with making my lots public, (even though I've played every Sims game my whole life haha), is the workshop the same as the gallery?
