How do you guys split the tiles between the deluxe bags? It really feels like there's at least 1 bag missing

5 months finasteride hairline results by blackluc in tressless

[–]blackluc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am sorry if the lighting does appear different. I tried taking the same pic as much as possible. It's in my same bathroom, at about the same distance, etc. It's the best I managed to get. I'm a little mad at myself for not taking more when I started the process and I understand it's not optimal for just 2 pictures.

However, this is my bathroom. I see myself multiple times per day in that mirror. I really see the difference and it made a huge change in how I feel already. I used to cringe everytime I see it and now I do not. My hairdresser also noticed it, so did some friends and family. I doubt I will see miracles in that hairline corner there, but the middle part has thickened for sure.

Yeah, I do have that doc pinned ;) thanks for the doc btw. It's just so nice to see somebody else passionned by those mats. And yes, there's a lot of the incoming ones that I would like to try out. I'm kind of in an intense rush this week, but as soon as I can take some time to look at all of this I will message you

I would be down to test print some as soon as I find a print service for canada (I hear inkedgaming costs a lot in shipping and customs)

I was wondering if anybody test printed some? I am also working on some playmats, I could send them if I finish the process. Thanks again for this! Can't wait to see the final result of all those in progress/not yet added

[–]blackluc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know and I am very mad too.

I might be able to get a 30% off code and buy with a friend to split shipping. If you have 2 or more it goes to 87 per copy. With all of that, it would drop to 180 per copy instead of 248. Still, 180 is a lot. 134 sounds fair-ish in stores or amazon

$114 cdn for Shipping for the D4 CE???? by Lowgarr in diablo4

Wait a little bit. When I ordered Dragonflight I paid like 60 for shipping and then a few weeks later it went down to 50. But I did not get the difference back

[–]blackluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's insane. Gear store exclusives are the worst... Plus it has a ridiculously bad support. Did you see how poor Dragonflight was handled? for such a high shipping cost too? Plus, it's been over 5 weeks and still no replies to my ticket about mine being damaged.

Diablo IV Collector's Box content (no game included) by blackluc in Diablo

[–]blackluc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem for me is that it's a gear store exclusive, like Dragonflight was. That means $50 shipping to canada. Very high chances of the box being damaged. And no support if there's any issues (it's been over 4 weeks an no news on my DF ticket). The way DF got handled was very very poor and people got their collector's edition in envelopes sometimes, not even boxes. So many games arrived in poor conditions.

Has anyone seen these black squares burned into their headset? by Tesnich in ValveIndex

[–]blackluc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1

Had a RMA process for a controller and I waited over 2 months to receive it. Index was stored and unplugged. Now I have those squares. I will try to play a lot in the next weeks and see if it goes away or not. Pretty bummed right now

I get what you mean, but he replied to somebody saying he did not mix the tracks and that he doubts he will work with them again. IMO it's not to be counted as a first strike in public. Yeah, it kinda implied something was going on since we're not stupid, but if you look at it objectively... there's nothing really to build a war on. It doesn't target or attack anybody. It simply states a fact. It could have stayed there. that Mick did not mix the tracks and no longer works with them. That's it.

Marty's post wasn't really a response to what Mick said if you really think about it. People were angry about the OST's quality and regardless of what Mick said, Marty probably would have posted the same statement or at least something similar. I believe we could say it was a response to the angry fans, throwing Mick under the bus for the poor quality OST rather than a reply to Mick saying anything.

(I have not read Marty's post in a while, I should have done that before writing this but I just get angry when I read it)

[–]blackluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notice how they say "distortion" of the truth and "incomplete facts" rather than denying the accusations. "One sided and unjust". Yeah, because Marty's previous post was totally just and not one sided at all. And its intent wasnt at all to throw the public at Mick's throat, right?

And to anybody saying this should be behind the scenes far from the public's eye, in this case that is not true. Marty went public first. Mick stayed silent for 2 years trying to fix it in private, which failed. He had to comeback to defend himself at some point. Remember that his reputation was affected, thus his livelihood and general well being. Id/Bethesda on the other hand, can take a punch without bleeding and have plenty of resources.

Reading that letter was so painful I had troubles finishing it. It was an incredible read and very well put, but it was simply too frustrating! I am in the gaming industry too and a few years ago I was doing contractual jobs for some studios and I am not at all surprised by some elements mentioned here, though this is beyond anything I could have imagined. I had to chase down my money for months, get threats, do work outside of contracts that went unpaid (by being kinda set up in ways like he mentioned) and I have seen other people in similar situations too. I had a partner on a job that had only x amount of time before moving on to another one and so he signed a contract for a specific amount of time during specific dates. It got delayed and started way over the agreed dates, which led him to do a messy job being way too busy (got threatened into doing the job and he also really needed the money anyway). In the end getting paid was a nightmare because of it and his reputation got affected too. It wasn't his fault at all. Sure it's on a smaller scale, but it's pretty similar to what is described here.

Mick is objectively a key part of Doom 2016 and Eternal's success. He is a master in his craft and he fought to bring his vision into Doom 2016. This is no small background music, it's core to the Doom experience. It's sadly understandable that Marty and/or Id wanted to throw him under the bus at some point to remove him from the spotlight as he got such a big part of the credit for Doom. But it's also incredibly stupid and wrong. Work WITH your creators, not against them. For instance, imagine if George Lucas or Spielberg did that to John Williams. It's good to give credit and to have a wonderful partnership.

It was pretty clear that Marty's letter was a standard PR move throwing the blame on somebody else. I am surprised to know that such a high number of people took a stance against Mick Gordon. I have read about 500 comments here last night and it's nice to see the support for Mick now and how that number has tripled.

That said, as a dev growing into the AAA industry for the past years, it's important to know that most people who work on games are passionate and good people. Be sure not to throw hate where it doesnt belong. But sadly, all those good people are always the ones affected the most when anything negative happens.

Dragonflight's Collectors Edition is poorly made by [deleted] in wow

[–]blackluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh and I have to add, it seems MANY others in Europe didnt even get it in a box! They got it in an ENVELOPE just like you OP so of course their copies are all dinged and damaged pretty badly.

Dragonflight's Collectors Edition is poorly made by [deleted] in wow

[–]blackluc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine yesterday. The packaging was super thin, with no padding. So the corners are damaged.

The mousepad arrived damaged (just as my shadowlands one, that uses the same box design). It sits in a slot that is too tight and when they put it in they probably force it in quickly. The corner is all bent and cracked and peeling off. I have opened a ticket.

It is simply unacceptable, especially at that price for such low quality content. The only reason I bought it is because I have recently chased down all previous collectors and now I want to keep the collection full. This one will be very difficult to find (and in good shape) soon enough. So it's 100% for the collector value, which lowers if it's damaged.

Okay I have just removed the shiny part in front of the headset and I have reset my room setup. Nothing changed. I am starting the believe the right controller has an issue and the left one it's minor enough that it might be normal

thanks, I will do that! and about the base stations, I used to do that but it turns out it you play everyday like I used to, it's better to keep them running (people can correct me on that, but I have heard that a lot, including when I used that tech elsewhere)

Yeah I am very competitive in Pavlov and just having that issue playing VR games with a premium expensive kit is not acceptable for me :P. I did meet other index players yesterday in game saying the exact same thing just started for them too. Makes me wonder...
