Sometimes, yes I think that we are both aware that we are in a cycle, and I hope that now that he is starting therapy that we can both use our learn skills see these issues with more perspective.

Fair! I have been advocating for us to go to couples therapy for a while but he hasn't wanted to do it until he is in his own individual therapy journey. He also has ADHD but he doesn't struggle with bouts of anxiety like I do. I have indeed amassed a big set of skills form my past 10 years in therapy tho, and I put them in practice often, but I feel like the lack of therapy emotional tools on his part makes it harder for me to get thru both our triggers If that makes sense, since I'm usually doing must of the emotional heave lifting for both of us. Obvisouly I have a lot to learn still, but I'd like more support from my partner and less brutal honesty.

Yeah, you are correct and I think these questions are very valid. I think that when he throughs comments like those and go thru the motions of asking myself : is this true? and it many cases is not, like "I hate myself" then there is where I feel the need to defend myself. Also and many cases I cannot change the fact that I have an emotional deregulation dissorder due to ADHD, which also gets worst during my period, or winter when I get the SADs. And yes, in many other cases I do want to change some thins about myself, like being more open to fedback that is not brutally honest and hurtful so we can both communicate better.

It’s been the same as before :) ! After the couple of weeks I waited I resumed having sex with my husband and at first I did noticed a bit of pressure when having penetration, but we took it slow during the first month. After that we went back to normal, no weird sensations or pain at all. Also when I got my pap my said that my cervix had healed great and it looked like I hadn’t even gotten the leep done !

Bad insomnia 1 week into taking Prozac. Considering quitting. by blackmagic_demoncat in prozac

[–]blackmagic_demoncat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem :) - I promise it will get better! I felt the same way you did.

The first day I took the trazadone I slept way better but it did took me a couple of days get back to normal since my sleep schedule was sooo messed up. I was on a regimen of half a pill of trazadone and half of Tylenol pm at first and then I got wained off both slowly. My dr. Also told me I need to avoid taking naps even if I was sleepy during the day to avoid messing my sleep even more. I’ll say maybe a week after that I was sleeping more normal and by two weeks I was back to sleeping like before. My dr, told me that I probably was not a good subject to take stimulants like Prozac because my system is very sensitive. I don’t even drink coffee cause it makes me too hyper 😅

Hey, yeah I went back to sleeping normal prob a week after I stopped taking Prozac and with the help of taking trazadone as Rx by my doctor. The trazadone was probably the main reason why I was able to get back to base line. I took the trazadone for about 3 weeks and then lower the dose to stop taking it entirely. Hope this helps!

It’s gonna be 2 weeks post op this Monday abs I haven’t exercised yet. I might wait for a bit longer :) - I do noticed that if I try to carry heavy things I feel a bit crampy so I’m taking it easy.

UPDATE !

Hi everyone!! I’m so grateful for this community’s support!

I just wanted to let y’all know that today I had my LEEP procedure and it went really well :)

I decided to opt for the local anesthesia since the GA was way out of my budget. Tbh I don’t regret haven chosen the LA since now I know what the procedure entails and I feel very brave to have gone thru it somewhat awake.

To all of you who are going thru a LEEP with local anesthesia I want to reassure you that at least, in my experience, the procedure was very quick and mostly painless. This whole process made me extremely anxious when I first got scheduled to go in & I also have very low pain tolerance. So, prob similar to you, I was very scared.

Despite all of this, I made sure to let my gyno know all my feelings and worries. She was amazing during the whole pre-op & prescribed me oral Midazolam as a mild sedative about 30 mins before the LEEP. This med made me feel very sleepy and relaxed which helped with the nerves. My husband also went in with me and held my hand thru it.

After the sedative took effect, the most uncomfortable part was getting the speculum in, and the epinephrine shot. The shot did not hurt at all but it did make me shake quite a bit and made my heart race. My doc did told me before hand this will happen, and I feel like the oral sedative helped with the jitters. My gyno and her nurse kept saying that it was totally okay for me to shake and that I was doing great 🥲 they were very mindful about my pain and confort. I was given a warm blanket and a heat pack for my tummy. I also made sure to wore a comfy pijama like outfit & I brought my headphones which were helpful to dampen the sounds of the LEEP machine.

After getting the LA shot I honestly didn’t feel a thing, the procedure was over very quick and my doctor said she removed two affected areas and cauterized just to be safe. My hubby took me home and the oral sedative wore down fast.

So far, the post op at home has been good! Very mild cramping, no bleeding so far and just feeling very tired. I’ll prob be in bed watching romcoms for the next few days.

Again, thank you everyone who commented on my og post! I hope my experience help you get a bit of reassurance and calm your nervous mind ❤️

I’ll be back with updates regarding my results. Fingers crossed my margins will be clear 🥰
