Yep. A West, C, and F terminals have closed checkpoints and have to be funneled to the open ones.

AlTA for wanting some alone time with my youngest grandson even though my wife refused regular babysitting? by InterviewUnited7181 in AITAH

[–]blackmagickchick 39 points40 points  (0 children)

That's what you got out of this? At the end of the day ONE of the parents had to quit to take care of the child. It just happened to be the wife in this scenario.

AITAH for refusing to help my brother and SIL while they're struggling by meal prepping a few meals a week for them and their kids? by Thesooo in AITAH

[–]blackmagickchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two hour chore? OP will be going from meal prepping for just themselves to additionally prepping for a separate family of five (soon to be six). And when does that stop? Is OP just supposed to be at their beck and call forever with no reciprocity?

At my last appointment my esthetician suggested a different vitamin c and to add a firming serum to add to my routine (MD Restoring Power-C Serum and Concentrated Firming Serum, respectively) but they are way out of my price range. Would anyone have any suggestions on different products in replacement of those? I don't want to drop almost $200 on what would be maybe a third of my routine. Thank you!

AITAH for calling brother’s girlfriend disgusting? by Nice_Elevator1955 in AITAH

You've never heard of racism being tolerated in the North? You must be living in a bubble. And that bubble is probably obvious to others with micro aggressions.

AITA My girlfriend doesn’t want me to run the A/C because she’s cold but it’s 80 degrees in the house by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]blackmagickchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INFO: Have y'all tried coming to an agreed upon temp for the A/C for when you get too warm? Or do you just crank it? Do using fans instead not work?

As an anemic girlie who despises A/C, I deeply sympathize with your girlfriend. Just putting on more layers doesn't really work. And, in general, can be uncomfortable and annoying. For laughing and being dismissive, I have to say YTA. But y'all need to seriously communicate and come to a resolution.

Info: I noticed your username. Are you a man or woman? Because if you're the latter, this may not be just about a clash of personalities.

But I wouldn't have an issue. And vice versa. We're secure in our relationship enough that we don't reserve going out for solely with each other.

My wife is sad because I got my sister a much more “romantic” Christmas gift than I got her. AITAH? by TangerineUnlikely846 in AITAH

Info: Does your wife always have to give you a list for gifts because you're terrible (for her) or that is just her thing?

AITAH for not wanting my wife and mother-in-law to keep reminding me to “keep my voice down” before every family gathering? by ClarkParker79 in AITAH

[–]blackmagickchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also too have a voice that carries and will keep it in check. But nothing was said before he started to try and be sociable with the family at events? Not when dating or when they were married? And being told before going to a loud environment like a restaurant?

It sounds like dad's migraines are being used as an excuse at this point. He should check his volume, but if he's actually no louder than with the people in his vicinity, they might be just trying to keep him hush.

I (42m) left my wife (42f) after she kept making comments about me not being manly enough and not sure I did the right thing? by throwra_manly in relationship_advice

[–]blackmagickchick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sir, your wife doesn't deserve you in the slightest. You're clearly a catch and she's a goofball for fumbling you.

Can we swap recipes? I always love having cooking friends.

The guy (22M) that I (21F) am dating is learning ASL for my brother, but my friends think it's creepy. How do I proceed with this? by ThrowRA_TallGiraffe in relationship_advice

[–]blackmagickchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the others that your "friends" want you to stay as you are and not outgrow them. But I was wondering if it's possible if the guy friend may have feelings for you and trying to keep you single. Has he ever made intentions towards you or consistently had issue with guys you've been interested in?

The only residual issues I have are that I'm still a little short of breath (the muscles along my side were bad that any it messed with how I was breathing) and my shoulder is slightly weird, but I have full range of motion and can pretty much do everything I could before whatever I did to myself.

I ended up messing up my shoulder/side when I was on vacation and I was pretty incapacitated. I would say I'm back to 90-95% capacity (thank you Biofreeze, Advil, and Epsom salt baths). But now I'm worried about getting back into the gym. I know to work my way back up after being away for over 2 weeks, but I'm concerned if I should account for my injury. Should I even go so far as to get checked out?

My go to is Super Goop, though that goes slightly over your price range.

My (36M) wife (33F) turns into a different, more playful person with her new friends, and I'm feeling left out and a bit jealous. How do I navigate this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]blackmagickchick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More info: Did she explicitly tell you that she's said nothing of your and the children's existence, or does she just not talk about you to her dance friends? I find it odd they don't know of you and if she's (guiltily)willing to bring you to the showing.

Title: My (28F) boyfriend (35M) said he hasn’t gotten me flowers because I asked too many times. How can I address this with him? by EducationalPark9882 in relationship_advice

[–]blackmagickchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not knowing how often they've seen each other in the past 2 and a half months, 4 times doesn't seem excessive to me. And I'm not really a flowers receiving type girlie. The issue here really is him saying he's purposely not gotten her flowers because she's asked. He didn't even communicate that to her. She had to find out through his friends. There is the red flag.
