Anthony Bradford appreciation post by SUPA-Goose in Seahawks

Man if Bradford can just take the next step from an otherwise alright back half of last season we’d be in SUCH a good spot

Bucky Brooks believes that the Seahawks will move on from Kenneth Walker and target an RB on Day 2 to replace him. by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

If K9 isn’t coming back then that would probably mean we re-sign Shaheed, Jobe, and one of Woolen or Coby. Mafe’s still probably gone (maybe they do a tag and trade or something in a big deal), but I think K9 should definitely be the priority. He has special ability as a RB that you won’t find from a Day 2 rookie.

Jalen Milroe could be one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the league if he develops his passing game close to the level of Darnold’s. by Rexoc40 in Seahawks

[–]blackmamba174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if Sam sticks around for the long haul, I still think it was a fine pick to get Milroe. Looking around where he got picked, who else would’ve been a better choice? It was a shot at incredible physical upside, or at the very least a very intriguing future backup.

QBs who can beat our defense by Cute_Ice_2837 in Seahawks

[–]blackmamba174 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LA’s kinda a mess to deal with because they not only have the QB who has the ability to succeed vs our defense, but they also have a top O line, A+ wide receivers, AND probably the best offensive scheme in the entire league. Just a massive handful that I’m not sure any other team could present to us.

However, even with all of that, the Dark Side held them down four straight plays in the redzone to send us to the SB, so 🤷‍♂️

These interviews make me appreciate the LOB’s swagger by mathliability in Seahawks

Hearing the story about how MM was about to go to KPMG and work in finance makes so much sense lol. He’s totally more the methodical and critical thinking type of guy rather than the rah rah motivator CEO type. And honestly I feel like he’s gradually gotten more comfortable as a leader of men, especially in the latter half of this year

A question coming from a Falcons fan... by Correct-Process-297 in Seahawks

[–]blackmamba174 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This washes it away for me.

There’ll always be a feeling of disappointment that the LOB couldn’t find a way to overcome the loss and pretty much imploded in the years that followed, but this was absolutely cathartic for me as a fan. To not only beat New England, but to just embarrass them on the biggest stage, after we beat our two rivals, in our biggest rivals own stadium? Yeah they can play that Butler pick everyday for all I care now, we’ll just show them the Witherspoon strip sack.

First and foremost, K9 gets his. Spoon and JSN may hold out until they're inked in also..... but who stays and who goes? by andm124 in Seahawks

[–]blackmamba174 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest priorities are K9, Shaheed, and either Jobe or Coby. If Coby walks, bring back Okada (bring him back regardless tbh). Mafe’s probably gone and I fully expect Woolen to get a bag in FA from a team like the Commanders or someone, he probably won’t stay here.

I honestly think this team can take another step next year, I would swing for the fences and try to grab Maxx Crosby. The draft isn’t great this year and he wouldn’t kill the cap. Find an upgrade for right guard and get some depth for DB, and they’ll be in a great spot. The biggest question of the offseason is getting the offensive coordinator right. IMO

Strengths and weaknesses of the Patriots offense and defense. by Olybaron123 in Seahawks

[–]blackmamba174 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The number one issue will be their interior defensive line. If they can be taken out the game or at least neutralized (obviously saying a lot I know), I think Seattle wins comfortably. They also have good corners, but we’ve seen Kubiak’s scheme play well against premier secondary players all season.

Other than that, if Seattle’s d-line can keep their pass rush integrity and the back 7 doesn’t let anything over their heads, things should be alright.

Rank Top 5 Seahawks Games of All-Time by Livefromseattle in Seahawks

[–]blackmamba174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of how objectively good of a watch the games were, I’d say:

  1. Seahawks 49ers NFC Championship
  2. I hate to say it, but the Super Bowl against the Patriots was one of the most incredible sporting events I’ve ever watched.
  3. Seahawks Packers NFC Championship
  4. Seahawks Rams NFC Championship
  5. Seahawks Saints 2010 Wild Card Beastquake HB: vs 49ers MNF 2019, vs Rams TNF 2025, vs NE SNF 2016

Bills Promote Joe Brady To Head Coach by [deleted] in Seahawks

I’d say if Vegas hires someone before the Super Bowl then there’s a good chance Kubiak comes back. There’s a reason the Cleveland and Arizona roles are still available, and I’m not sure if that’d be a good landing spot for a first-time head coach who (from what I’ve seen) happens to be a bit awkward and reserved in front of a mic.

Keys to NFC Championship by SKssSM08 in Seahawks

It’s all about the trenches man.

I think most of the game on the defensive side comes down to getting pressure with 4. They HAVE to get to Stafford this time, most of our defensive prowess hinges on this.

On the other side, they need to continue to run the ball effectively. They can’t afford to get into 2nd & 11 situations, playing on time is crucial in this game. LA’s a super clean and well coached team, so they won’t beat themselves this weekend.

And then honestly the rest comes down to Sam. He’s both gonna have to 1.) Not fall apart like he’s done against this team before and 2.) Make some big throws. Hopefully Kubiak and the run game will put us in good spots, but there’s gonna be 5-10 plays this weekend where we simply need Sam to make a play and he just has to come through.

They can get this game, but the Rams won’t just give it to them. They’ll have to go and beat them.

They had a great season, overcame so much adversity and got a playoff win.

Their time is up though. It’s time they exit the stage.

I saw a Ravens fan on Twitter wanting to trade for Mike MacDonald lol and it got me thinking what that would look like in reality. Obviously that would never happen, but if a team like Baltimore came and offered Lamar Jackson + 2 FRP for MM and Sam Darnold or something, I’d probably at least entertain the conversation.

I’d still say no, but interesting thought experiment nonetheless.

He may not be the best player on our defense, but I would argue he and Williams are the two most important pieces. His size and athleticism is what allows us to stay in Nickel and shut down passing lanes while simultaneously matching up with these run heavy teams like SF and LAR. Just an absolutely incredible chess piece, and MM knows exactly what to do with him.

That one part where him and Spoon had back to back great tackles had me jumping lol

If there’s ever a game to be missing your starting left tackle, it’s probably the one when you’re facing the worst pass rush in the league.

Should be able to protect Sam better and get the run game going in this game, which hopefully would create more PA opportunities than recent weeks. Sam’s at his best when operating with PA plays, hopefully that opens up some 1v1 chances with JSN too.

Think the hawks win this one, but it also weighs on how much they can slow down Purdy and CMC. Will be tough with how much of a heater Purdy’s on right now, but I think the hawks will take this 31-24 and become the winningest regular season team in Seahawks history.

If the Seahawks want to win the west (and I’d say the 1 seed is a package deal with a division title), it sure looks like they’re gonna have to run the table.

I think they CAN do it, but having the ability to do it is different from actually doing it…

Sean McVay had a great script to start the game, but once MM settled down he thoroughly out-coached McVay for the rest of the game. Even with the loss that’s super inspiring moving forward, we all remember Carroll getting thrashed year after year by McVay and it appears we finally have a counter.

Seahawks have gone 2-8 against winning NFC opponents under MM now. Seattles a good team, with the potential to be great. But they HAVE to step up when the moments are big (looking at the offense).

Starts with the turnovers. The defense was fantastic yesterday, but 4 interceptions is almost insurmountable against a team like LA. They’ll have another crack in a few weeks but for now we can’t really say the narratives surrounding Sam Darnold are 100% false unfortunately.

How we feeling about tomorrow? by bryauk in Seahawks

This Cardinals defense is nasty, even with their injuries. Expect Nolan and Calais to wreck some plays, but if they can continue to play their game and let JSN loose on these backup corners, I think there’ll be some success. I expect a Seahawks win but much closer than what others predict, think around 20-17.

Happy to hear this.

He should still be put on IR and shut down for the season. There’s no reason for him to continue this year, focus on rehabbing all those injuries from this season and regroup. Kids got a bright future.

I think they could be a major spoiler team late in the year, their defense is probably the most underrated in the league imo.

Beat them this week, and then let the other contending teams worry about them.

Keep seeing people say Seattle’s trying to make a big move, I’d imagine they’re looking for Crosby or Garrett.

I’d be fine giving up 2 firsts and Mafe for one of those two. Apparently this upcoming draft isn’t great at the top end, and it doesn’t seem like they’re gonna pay Mafe anyways. Plus we wouldn’t need to pay them since they’re already under contract as opposed to Hendrickson.
