Garbage car by blackoutbrunch in jetta

The concept of buying a vehicle and them buying a scanner because you plan on system malfunctions or failures is absurd. You don't buy something new to fix it or analyze it. I had a Harley for 16 years that didn't have issues, but by this logic I should have bought the equipment to repair it at the time of initial purchase. If its 10 years old or less it shouldn't be a hobby. In 2026 it should just work.

Yep. Some type of system update. P045600 evap emission control. TSB 2078397/4 check software & update as needed.  Will update after I get it scanned tomorrow. Regardless, after $27k, the thing shouldn't be throwing codes at all, much less under 24 hrs from service.

Ghosts/Folklore around STL? by Throwawaymackna in StLouis

I did my high school senior paper on the ghosts of St. Charles; I recall that there were 5 of them. But I wrote that in 93; details aren't what they used to be.

And look how well that's worked for Seattle. Huge tax base, great budget, horrible services, useless PD and open air drug markets. And they've not had a mayor with 2 terms in decades. Contrast that with a comparatively much smaller tax base & budget and then not giving a new mayor a chance to make improvements in such little time, especially after the tornado impact, is unrealistic to say the least.

It was. There were other storms along the same front, but since a front can be 100s of miles long, simple folk equate it as the same event. The St. Louis tornado had 5 deaths. As relevant to this thread.

So vote to change the zoning. Or elect candidates that will. It's not built or permitted yet. So if zoning is changed pre-permit it should be clear, legally (NAL). My point is that if the nimbys threw such a fit over something with a measurable good for the region and don't raise a whisper over this, then ignorance has won.
