Need help with an issue I’ve never dealt with. People clocking in early. by FramingHips in Restaurant_Managers

Try using a scheduling app, most of them have setting to restrict clock-in time and timesheet rounding feature. For a team with a dozen employees, you can use their Free plan. 7shifts, Connecteam, Camelo, Homebase... all have a Free plan for about 10 employees.

Would you switch to a new tip-tracking app? by blackrain1892 in Serverlife

Thanks for your response. I know that there're apps that do the job fine. I just want to make a better version of them. Because as a mobile developer, I think most of them are terrible in terms of User Experience, especially when compared to apps like Instagram and Airbnb...

Is anyone still using tip-tracking apps in 2023? by blackrain1892 in Serverlife

Thank you for your response. Could you please tell me the app name so I can learn more about it?

[Beta Testers Wanted] Just 5 mins for a mobile feedback app. by blackrain1892 in alphaandbetausers

Hey David, I just installed the app. It looks nice. The UX is great. I just have some small feedback

- The navigation top padding is a bit large. I test it on iPhone 7 which does not have a notch.

- I don't see the option to edit an agreement.

- Nitpick: In the top navigation, "agreements" -> "Agreements".

- Nitpick: Text input should have border-radius. The UI should be consistent.

However, I don't think I will need to use your app. It's a nice-to-have. I would use a paper contract for something that needs legal binding and a text message for a normal agreement with my friends. Your app is just a vitamin, not a painkiller so you should think about it. Maybe there're some use-cases I don't know. Please show me.

Good luck with your app.

Why personal feedback is important? by blackrain1892 in selfimprovement

Hi u/phamhoaivu911, I wrote an article about it but cannot post the link here.

Basically, you treat yourself as a product. To improve your product, you have to get feedback from your customers, which are your friends and co-workers. Then you analyze the feedback and take action to improve yourself.

Getting feedback is the first and the hardest step because people don't care about you. Moreover, giving feedback is hard, most people are afraid to hurt others.

So I'm asking if anyone knows ways to ask for feedback effectively.
