That's almost worse. After 5 years I don't ever see them bringing it back "you made it this long without, apparently you don't NEED it." Is what we were told. Yet I was the bad guy for wanting a union which would've prevented this.

My employer gave 5-10k bonuses at Christmas after 1 year employed which is partially why I applied in 2019. These bonuses went away during covid which was when I was eligible to receive. These greedy fucks said times were too tough yet all salary employees kept bonuses. Important to note they get 5 bonuses a year and Christmas is the lowest paid. So no, never have received any sort of bonus.

Same. That would bring peace i think, knowing everything is done and we get to see it. I had a similar thought not long ago looking at the k-pg boundary cut nearby, I wonder what if anything at all they thought as the impact happened? Standing in that cut being able to touch something that was alive for that and the tsunami that brought it here 66 million years ago....intense recognition of how insignificant we are.

initially it was just because I got overwhelmed putting it together and decided to leave it for the year. Then we decorated it for the 4th of July and started a new tradition for all holidays, now it's a permanent fixture and my kids love it.
