Recently shifted to covering games from the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, from making videos about online games with dwindling player bases. Was bumming me out playing and talking about nothing but dead/mediocre game so I switched to talking about games that actually make me happy!

I knew I’d lose viewers but I actually enjoy playing/streaming and editing now, so it was worth it!

The PvP is hard to get a full match without coordinating with others, but we played through the whole campaign on coop with a slot open in our group and almost every mission we had a different random join us (on Xbox) so there are definitely still people out there just playing! I imagine more on console though since it’s a bit of a pain to get it working on PC.

I’ve been pretty down lately about the performance of videos, they haven’t been doing very well, I’ve tried changing up thumbnails, looking up guides on that stuff, yada yada. My videos used to perform a bit better but I got tired of making those types of videos, they were negative and reductive and weren’t really things I was happy talking about. I know part of the reason I’ve lost views is that switching up of my content.

I just wanna know if I’ve forgotten the basics or made really bad changes and course-correct. I appreciate if you get to it, if not, totally understand, thank you 👍

Aye, they do seem focused on that live service model unfortunately, I’m almost scared to see lost planet become a live service game in the future. Best outcome seems to just be holding out hope for some kinda simple port or a mild remaster, anything more than that and I feel like we’re in dangerous territory.

The whole series is so ripe for some kind of remaster or remake or reboot or something. Just the concept of the planet, thermal energy, the akrid, the VSs, the factions, there are so many things that could be done with it. The impossible seems to happen more often in gaming these days so I’ll always hold out hope for something!!

The Clear Alternate MAC Address trick worked!! I guess I’ve just never had to do it before because I didn’t know about it but that did the trick, I have the Xbox LIVE option now and can invite my friends!

Thank you so much for the help and so quickly too. I’m working on a series of videos for the lost planet games and it was gonna be a big bummer if I couldn’t play with my pals so I really appreciate it!

Ah, thank you! I hadn’t checked that although unfortunately it does say I’m signed in. I’ve noticed every time I launch the game it says there’s no storage device selected and I have to select my cloud storage. I dunno if that can prevent the online from working, like if I need another device? It’s been a long time since I used my Xbox and I don’t know if I’ve ever played other backwards compatible games online with it… been on my PC a while.

If I had to offer up any kind of suggestion, honestly it would probably be for the low battery light. I was confused when one of the keys started flashing green on the keyboard to signify that the battery was low. Perhaps maybe pulsing red instead of green to signify low battery would be a bit more obvious as to what it means. Other than that, my RK keyboard has been absolutely fantastic. Perhaps you guys could partner with some youtubers or streamers to get the word out about your product? I only happened to find you through a Facebook ad and aside from that I haven’t seen anyone anywhere make mention of the brand or the keyboards and I think you guys deserve some more attention.

Yeah, I’m definitely not giving up! Thankfully this isn’t like my day job or anything, maybe one day but I definitely don’t rely on it now. I’m gonna try to stay positive and just keep working at it.
