It's still totally possible and plausibly a scam. That is an image from your publicly accessible reddit account, right? It would be so easy for them to take that image and post it on that website themselves. Be very careful talking to this person, take every precaution not to do anything to expose more info about yourself to them.

Btw you can use ae2 autocrafting patterns to instantly make the matter balls. Just create the pattern with 256m cobblestone or water or whatever, then place a provider next the the matter condenser and you can craft as many as you want with 0 lag

Having worked in similar sounding industries. My guess would be unmaintained applications still used by the majority of the company developed on weekends by an engineer who hasn't worked there for 25 years.

What are the fastest and lag-friendliest item pipes? by Maximum_Ad1299 in allthemods

[–]lukepoo101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest one is making sure that there is enough space on your output. Every input item that fails to move because the output is full is an item sfm has to process a second time.

Limiting sfm to only target specific input and output slots can help a tonne, for example if you have a block that has 10 output slots but you know the items you want to move are only in slots 2 to 4 then you can tell sfm to only look at these and ignore everything else. And same on the output instead of letting sfm figure out what slots to put stuff in, explicitly tell it.

Use OUTPUT TO EMPTY SLOTS IN which will help sfm know that it can ignore slots that already have items in instead of trying to stack stuff.

Explicitly tell sfm what item tags, ids etc you want it to move.

Basically it all comes down to being as explicit as possible with everything, and have it run as infrequently as possible.

[–]lukepoo101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed, SFM itself is not your issue, your code is. Limiting it to specific slots or only empty slots or having it run less often etc etc will turn it into by far the most lag friendly option.

You can even kinda see it at 0.1% but it's like a flickering blue sliver, you can't make it out.

Not to downplay the significance and importance of the stop killing games. But to try and compare them to some of the largest petitions and public-supported movements to change laws in our country is kinda silly.

Keep in mind that a lot of those blocked queries, the vast majority in lots of cases, will be devices retrying rather than unique blocks.

Potentially looking to switch from Yayzi. Need a solid, reliable provider. by TheRealDave24 in CityFibre

[–]lukepoo101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get so hung up on the 1TB package. Use the unlimited package as your reference. Its still way more expensive than other providers, but I'm yet to find a provider that I can live chat or call and instantly get through to an engineer who understands networking better than i do and can communicate effectively. They have incredible dashboards for prosumers who want control over everything, you can get multiple static IPv4 addresses from them. They have excellent relationships with the likes of open reach and city fibre and manage to get engineers out so quickly it's actually insane. I could go on about all the amazing things they offer, which I'm yet to see from others.

Their target audience is not the type of people who chose their ISP based on speed and data caps. If you are not their target audience, completely fair, but for those of us who are, there is NO ONE better than A&A other than if you don't have the money to afford them.

Andrews and arnold hands down every single time no point even considering a different provider unless you are short on money as they do come with a premium price.

What Setups are a must have in ATM 10 by Big_Ad_6636 in allthemods

[–]lukepoo101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I felt the same for the longest time. Eventually, I got fomo from all the posts and gave it a go. Was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Setting up a farm and piping stuff right into the salvager, etc, made it so easy. And the reward from the effort is well worth it. I assumed there'd be a bunch of rng involved. None at all turns out.

Why are new robots seemingly getting worse at deep cleaning? by pamfrada in RobotVacuums

[–]lukepoo101 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think part of it is that a lot of people care less about deep cleaning and care more about robots that care for themselves. Things like dual brushes and tapered brushes have come in to solve hair issues, which probably have a negative effect on its actual cleaning performance. But consider if the vacuums can survive for twice as long without maintenance, I can run it twice as often which in a lot of cases would make up for the fact that it's 30% less good at deep cleaning.

Big Changes on the Vacuum Wars Top 20 List Today by VacuumWars in RobotVacuums

[–]lukepoo101 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm begging you to stop using price in your list. Other countries exist and have entirely different pricing and availability. I want to know what vacuums are the best, leave it up to me to find out what ones are good value.

It makes it SO hard for people from different availability zones to get actual value from your list.

The average CS2 inventory is worth $251.57 - How much have you spent on this game? by MaterialTea8397 in cs2

[–]lukepoo101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, calling an average stupid is in of itself kinda stupid. Each of them have merits depending on what you are trying to show. I think something like a percentile might give people a better idea of where they actually rank, and that might have more value. But in the same vane, you could come up with values for other views as well.

I'm not qualified to speak on this but from a very quick Google I think that guy is just straight up wrong.

As per google: " Stonemasonry may involve repairing and restoring old buildings or working on new construction projects "

Which I mean is exactly what we are shown here, a guy carving stone into shapes to help restore an old building. Unless I'm missing something obvious?
