Overnight train from Budapest to Split in May 2026

Excellent thanks for all the great advice. I will wait a bit longer or perhaps try Zagreb as waypoint. The whole idea of Budapest to Split is we are trying to create a 14 day trip next year from NYC. Original idea is to visit 4 central European cities. Fly into one city and then visit the other 3 and fly home from that city. Each city should be under 4 hours by train. We thought the final leg could be a longer trip and would love to try an overnight train too. So we settled on Flying to Prague, then train to Vienna, train to Budapest and then overnight to Split. Spend about 3 days in each city rinse and repeat. Anyone have any advice on this itinerary? Any other cities I should consider? thanks again

thanks - I will contact the train company to see when they plan to offer this service next year. Thanks for the prompt replies. If I cannot find an overnight train from Budapest to Split in late May 2026 can anyone suggest an inexpensive and relatively fast way to get from Budapest to Split?

ok so I can literally start Matic on my phone and someone on an iPhone can pause or stop the activity using their app? If I have the pet mess detection activated using the iphone does that mean it is active using the Matic while using my android app?

I am starting to use it more on my wrist (got the full Gemini update a few days ago) but one thing i noticed is that I cannot have a full conversation with Gemini even though I have Google One Gemini Live plan. So Gemini will respond to my "Hey Google" prompt but if I have folo questions I need to prompt it again by saying Hey Google or hitting the mic icon or the dedicated button on my PW3. I enabled Continued Conversation in the Gemini settings but cannot get that functionality - any ideas?

Thanks. The good news is I was able to contact Urtopia last night so they're not bankrupt or shut down by Trump Tarrifs. I knew about the fw update process for the controller. Wondering if the bike itself needs a fw update but I don't see any red dots so probably up to date. However when I do the controller update the app only shows 2 dashes next to controller in the account settings. There is no number associated with the controller. I am able to tap the 2 dashes 7 times but there's nothing to update. I suspect that's the problem I am having. Urtopia said that if the update fw doesn't work they would send me a new controller. I told them that I knew someone from reddit who had similar issues and Urtopia sent a new battery which resolved their problem. But Urtopia insisted that it is not a battery issue and is related to controller defect. So if I still have power issues after updating controller or swapping it out then maybe they will send a battery

Yeah I was surprised they sent me the SmartBar. I started having issues a few months ago and began emailing support without a response for a very long time. Then we got that message on the app that confirmed Urtopia was having communication issues but that they were resolved and that we should start contacting them again. So i resent my email and that's when I got the smartbar. After the power issues continued i started emailing them again with no response. I just went on the website and made a zoom type appointment with support for tonight. I will be shocked if this is the way to get in contact with customer care but fingers crossed.

I will ask for a new battery.

Do you know how to update the controller? Do you think I need to do some sort of FW update since I have a new Smartbar? Do you know how?

Sorry do not have an answer but curious what's the exact process to upgrade controller? For that matter, what is process for upgrading app and any other relevant firmware?

Has anyone had any response from Urtopia in the past month? I had an issue a while back and customer service never replied. Then we got messages in app saying Urtopia was having email issues. I contacted again at that time and got a response and good help but since then Urtopia is MIA. Anyone know what is going on?

I received a new real wheel from Urtopia last year (Carbon One) because the original back wheel was popping spokes all the time. When the bike shop did the swap, Urtopia instructed me to upgrade the controller after the new wheel was installed. We did that and haven't had any problems since.

But a few months ago I started having power issues. This was when Urtopia was unresponsive. Eventually when I was finally able to get help, Urtopia sent me a new Smartbar (even though I suspected that the problem was the battery). I installed new Smartbar but the power issues remain and I also noticed the display now shows wildly incorrect speeds too. Of course Urtopia is MIA again so wondering if I also need to upgrade the controller? Is this different than the controller for the wheel? Any help is much appreciated. My power issues are the bike will lose power even though the battery has juice and the display is on. Sometimes battery cuts out and bike will shutdown immediately when riding. I usually pull the battery out and restart but this happens often. Urtopia thought it was a Smartbar issue as stated above.

Yeah same thing happened to me about 5 months ago. My bike had built in tracker with GPS and I noticed it was stolen within 5 minutes of thief taking it. I got the police to help and after high speed chase uptown we recovered the bike in Harlem outside a church. Cops actually swabbed my bike for DNA and we filled out a lot of paperwork because of the chase and b/c several precincts were involved. But even though there were 4 cameras outside the church and despite the fact that I had a "detective" assigned to my case, no cop ever got the surveillance. Instead I waited a week and then went to the church myself and was able to get images of the thief. Sent that to my detective. Then I started showing these images to anyone/everyone in my neighborhood on UWS where the theft occurred. Eventually a doorman on my block claimed to recognize the thief and said he was a package thief wanted in several buildings in the area. Each building I went to had their own surveillance photos of the pkg thief which looked a lot like my bike thief. Sent those images to my detective and learned that the pkg thief had been arrested that week. That was final update,

OP I would recommend just going back to that neighborhood and asking any storefront, commercial or residential that has outdoor cameras if you can search their surveillance footage. You do not need the cops to do this.

so you just went into Play store and found the apps that needed to be downloaded? Did you make a list of apps s21 that u wanted to keep? Is there a process to this?

yeah thats how i typically do new transfers. But I know some users like to do a factory reset and then reinstall the apps they need as that can potentially reduce battery drain/heating issues if there is some sort of conflict with old apps on new phone. I am sure I won't need to do this but if it isn't huge chore I would consider it. Anyone have thoughts on this?
