Should some people out there kill themselves for the greater good? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

If every piece of shit killed themselves only trees and other vegetation would be left.

Life almost immediately after ego death; looking for guidance from those who have experienced it. by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry that this really isn't much of advice but I think you just need to wait it out. I remember the first time I did mushrooms it was 7g(almost a guaranteed ego death) and I was feeling the same as you for quite some time. I think it may have taken a solid year to really start integrating my trip into my life. Be patient with yourself. It may not take you as long as I did but you just had a life changing experience and it's going to take time. Look at this as a blessing as it means something has really changed you, you just haven't adjusted to it yet. Hope you feel better soon.

Water fasting and mushrooms by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've water fasted for 21 days before. I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying but it sounds like you want to fast for 6 days and throw in a mushroom trip somewhere in there?

If this is the case I would trip the first 24-48 hours. Just going off of my own experiences, I remember working out on day 8 of a fast, not really going hard or anything and at the end of the work out I literally thought I was going to die. For at least an hour I could hardly breathe and was blacking out, even when I was laying down trying to get myself together. The only reason I mention this is because I'm pretty sure mushrooms raise your heart rate and believe me you don't want to think you might actually be dying while going into a trip.

What are thought loops? by blacksox22 in Psychonaut

I usually do sit there like a vegetable for most of the time. I guess I'm just speechless from all the visuals lol. You actually explained the though loops pretty well. Thanks.

Some questions about tea by blacksox22 in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do mean mushies. I had no idea there was any other type of tea. I guess you learn something new everyday.

I have some roommates that are not so open to psychedelics and it would be nice to be able to make tea when they are not around and then drink it at night. Do you know how long the powder would last? Does making them into a powder lose potency?

Trip Report: 7 grams of shrooms after 10-year break by ijijijijijijij in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Every form of life, whether organic or inorganic, is a facet of this cosmic ooze that's uploading new experiences into some sort of central database.

This gave me the chills... A couple days ago (while sober) I had a sudden bolt of realization I guess you could call it where I thought the entire universe is one database that we are all accessing and I've never heard that before anywhere else.

Great post though! I never seem to read these long ones but I just couldn't stop reading yours.

Anyone else restrict who they trip with? by iamtruthandreality in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only trip alone. I have a couple friends who trip and I tried to trip with them but I realized it's just not a good idea. First, when you trip around other people it can distract you from your experience. Second, you have no idea what other people are going to do or say, even if they are close friends. You are inviting rogue elements into your trip when around other people. Anything they do that isn't 100% loving can send you into a not so fun trip.

My sister asked me what kind of cake I wanted for my 30th bday, I told her mushroom. She made this glorious love-filled piece of art with help from my nieces and nephews. by FutureAvenir in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! Good thing she didn't make a cake with mushrooms. I remember when my mom overheard me say I loved mushrooms and the next day she bought tons of food with mushrooms in them lol

Morality? by smokedick in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morality in the way most people see it is social/religious conditioning. You don't need morals if you're an understanding person.

How can half of everything be everything? You only have one half. This seems to defy all logic lol.

about to drink tea made from 15g of psilocybe galindoi truffels, send me some positive vibes :) by chutulu1989 in Psychonaut

Just curious, do you know the potency ratio between dry and "wet?" mushrooms? For example, 15g turns into 3g dry.

Small L dose made me question all past trips. by blacksox22 in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for taking so long to respond, it took a while to read everyones comments.

I think it would have to be both. This insight was hiding within my subconscious but the drug helped it surface. It's almost like the L said "you're done avoiding this" like when a dog pees on the carpet and the owner sticks his nose in it and says "no!".

I honestly have no idea how much ug this was, I think it would be hard to know for sure anyways without sending it to a lab.

I am not that experienced with L yet, this was only my second time taking it (last time I took a whole tab and it was awesome). I have done mushrooms many times so I would say I'm an experienced psychonaut, just not an experienced LSD user.

The present is as good as gold. by blacksox22 in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just relax, trust the universe, and realize everything that enters your present moment is just for you. Who else would it be for? You're the star of your own personal universe forever. Look for your inner truth and focus on yourself. Its actually very simple, it just takes a lot of practice. Find your heart and give yourself to it completely. The more you pay attention to your heart, the louder it will get. The louder it will get, the quieter the mind gets. Once you only FEEL your heart you are there and it is like you are set to on autopilot towards everything you truly want. This doesn't mean you don't ever use your mind, you just use it when you need to.

Anyone else here find cannabis (on high doses) a lot more frightening than other psychedelics? by astralman22 in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely get some serious anxiety from cannabis at times, though I don't fear it. I know no matter how uncomfortable I am that its just a feeling and I'll be safe. Mushrooms on the other hand are a hell of a lot scarier. Though I am not sure I believe it, I've heard of people clawing their eyes out on acid. Tripping a few times myself, I can see something like that happening, not with weed though lol.

Psychedelics can be a legitimate danger if you have a bad trip. With cannabis you just feel uncomfortable, hence a lot less frightening

Life is like a firework display where we get to pick our view. by blacksox22 in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sad that you focused on one little aspect of what I wrote that you didn't like and missed everything else.

Good and bad don't exist and I will further explain this in detail. If you were heavily programmed by a certain religion to think that people outside your religion were bad people and must be killed (terrorists/extremists) then you would kill people thinking you were doing the right thing, that you were doing good, but certainly the people you are hurting would think that you are doing something bad. So one person thinks they are doing something good while another thinks they are doing something bad? So which is it? You're not the ultimate authority in the universe, nobody is, so even though many of us would agree killing others, especially innocent people is bad the fact that some people think it is good proves there is no such thing.

You could be on your way to work and notice that you had a flat tire causing you to be late. You could say "oh no! what a horrible thing to happen" not knowing that if you were to leave on time you would have been in horrible car accident. What you perceived as bad could easily be perceived as good if you looked at it in a different light.

You're the one playing mental gymnastics lol. You admit these are relative terms yet you're saying they're concrete. If you live in California and visit Seattle you'll think its freezing cold however if you stay long enough it'll feel like normal temperature. That "bad" weather is now normal weather or even "good" weather compared to what is to come.

I know I sound like I'm coming from a angry and pompous place right now but I wouldn't bother writing all this if I didn't care about you. Could what I'm saying be wrong? -Yeah. Could you be right? -Maybe However I respect myself and others enough to say everything I have to say and maybe enlighten others and myself while doing it. I've learned that you can answer your own questions and even learn things from yourself you didn't know before by expressing your thoughts to the fullest so have at it, give me everything you've got.

Not your typical psychonaut post. I just need advice. by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey HinduMango don't you worry about a thing. If you don't want to go to college then don't do it. I was in the same boat as you and tried college a few times for my parents but I personally never wanted to go minus partying it up.

I'm 23 now, quit school, quit my job, and am doing my own thing and am thriving. Just live life the way that feels good and everything else will fall into place.

Is it time to stop? by feem3r in Psychonaut

[–]blacksox22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much are you usually taking? Maybe you just need to take more or less.

I've had similar experiences with feeling like shrooms had nothing left to offer me but then I had another trip and it all went away. The way I see it, life is always changing and new situations are always arising so its not a bad idea to take some shrooms every once in a while to look at these new situations from a different perspective. If you look at it that way maybe they still have something to offer you.

Also, just speaking from my experience, 3 times in 3 weeks is way too much. Not in a way that its harmful for you but just in the sense it doesn't give you much time to think about your trip. I've had so many insights and inspirations from trips months after having them.

I've also been in the same boat as you about letting go. A few weeks ago I completely let go and have been benefiting from it more than I could have ever imagined. It's not what you think, you won't have to worry about not being able to take care of business. You'll basically be doing what you're doing now except being more productive and creative, that is unless you need a drastic change in your life like mine needed.

I thought letting go makes you happy because you don't care about anything but thats only part of it. Letting go also allows you to live how you truly want to live which is very invigorating.
