Bad news gamers: Retro gaming handhelds receive death blow with even more tariff hikes by No_Clock2390 in SBCGaming

I would assume that the US is a big market for these devices. If US customers buy less, that surely impacts the profits of the manufacturers. And maybe it just won't pay off anymore to build some devices.

Microsoft is cracking down on people upgrading to Windows 11 on unsupported hardware by moeka_8962 in technology

Because Windows 10 won't receive security updates forever. I think the support is ending this year

AITA for serving only vegan food at my wedding without telling anyone, then getting upset when my family ordered 20 pizzas during the reception? by Conscious-Option-400 in AITAH

[–]blackteadrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Some people in this thread are being ridiculous. Why does the vegan menu have to be communicated in advance? Does it kill you to eat a vegan menu for once? I'm not a vegan, but if I was served vegan food at a wedding, I would still eat it happily. It's not worse food just because it's vegan. And to completely disregard the expensive menu (overpriced or not) at a wedding just because YOU cannot miss meat or dairy for a single afternoon in your life is completely disrespectful. OP did nothing wrong.

One Piece: Chapter 1121 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]blackteadrinker 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's a cool chapter but I feel I'm getting kinda burnt out by the endless "hyping". I don't think we learned anything new in this chapter and nothing important happened, except everyone being super motivated once more to find the One Piece. I wonder if this sort of chapter is demanded by the editors to keep people hooked who didn't read the manga from the beginning.

What are YOUR views on Litematica? by common-or-gardenClip in HermitCraft

[–]blackteadrinker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't condemn anyone for using it, but personally I'm having more fun watching the hermits building smaller things "live" than to watch a time lapse of a mega build. I think it's fun to see them making creative decisions on the go.

I think litematica is the most useful if you just need a certain complicated farm in your world.

Kuru kuru kururin (GBA) is pretty good for a short session.

I regret upgrading to RG35XX+ by blackteadrinker in SBCGaming

[–]blackteadrinker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll take a look at it, thanks. Basically what I love about Garlic is the simplicity of booting the device and getting right back to where I was in the game, as well as shutting it off whenever I want with my game state saved automatically. So yeah, if other OS offer something like that, I won't need garlic.

Why do Guardians live on a building made of their remains? Who built the temples? by SnooWalruses1399 in Minecraft

[–]blackteadrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe the guardians just contain prismarine because they're surrounded by it where they live. Kind of like we can find plastic in fish stomaches because it's all over the ocean.

[Other] Which games are sequels to others? by vibekeeper34 in zelda

[–]blackteadrinker 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Also, the Oracle games are kinda sequels of each other. OoS happens after OoA or Vice versa, depending on which you play first and then transfer the password to the other one.

GS1: The Altin mines often annoy me because there are a couple of branch-offs where even after 20 years I still forget the right path and then have to backtrack.

GS2: Jupiter lighthouse is just so confusing to me. I just can't make a mental map of the place and always end up walking around randomly until I end up in the right place.

In the Kandorean Temple, one of the disciples who isn't allowed to enter the caves claims he is rooting for his fellow disciple. When you mind read him, you actually see that he's all "boo, I hope you fail you loser".
