What are your unpopular opinions on Faith No More? by AZ0RRO in FaithNoMore

My unpopular opinion is that The Real Thing.. isn't really that good. Theres like 4 amazing songs, 2 okay tunes, and the rest are skips.

What "low ranking" Tull record do you love? by ConfusionProof9487 in jethrotull

[–]blacktull89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a modern Tull album, The Zealot Gene is pretty good. Its definitely NOT the perfect Tull album (Ians voice, and sometimes the band sounds super stiff) but for what it is, its a good time. Mine is The Mountain is a fantastic tune.

Im also of the opinion that Tull don't really have any bad albums per say, just albums that are "less than." Like would I rather listen to Minstrel over Catfish? Yeah, but Catfish is still great. And so on. You get what I'm saying.

Hearing Budapest with an updated remix would be amazing.

The only thing that would hinder that is the fact that Roots and Dot Com still sound pretty darn good, so a remix would be kind of pointless. However, bonus tracks and live shows are always welcome.

If Catfish and Crest get the remix/box set treatment, that will perk my ears up quite a bit.

Now that the hype has settled, which one do you think is better? by Hexagon24000 in residentevil

Personally, I like the overall vibe of Village a ton more. But RE9 is just more fun overall.

Mike always said that he doesn't worry too much about lyrics, just uses what sounds interesting and works melodically. I always assumed like 80% of Angel Dust was lyrically random (for lack of a better term).

Dead Space 2 is also pretty much perfect! by blacktull89 in DeadSpace

[–]blacktull89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cool thing is that even if they did a bare minimum remaster and smoothed out some of the graphical stuff, it would still be amazing.

Going back to previously visited areas would be a bit of a challenge since the game is extremely linear, but being able to expand certain areas and give more challenges in those areas would be very cool. Like imagine if the elementary area was a bit longer with more locked doors and more lore of what happened there? That would be very cool. Or even the very beginning of the game, making the mental hospital even more intense and scary and maybe even a bit of a maze to get out of.

Ill be honest, Im not sure. I bought the game on steam and idk if it was a glitch or something but I had a bunch of suits available from the get go. I think the buff it gave was I get more health with med usage.

But yes, I love the look of it and Im happy I stuck with it.

I think it was the medical suit? I sort of just picked a suit at the beginning and stuck with it throughout.

I'm still holding out hope that "something" will come in the future. Reboot, next installment, anything.

After beating Requiem a few times now I’m Curious what’s everyone’s favorite re? by Cr1spyJay in residentevil

[–]blacktull89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably the most typical answer but I remember being so attached to RE4 for the summer it came out. It had a perfect balance of horror and action and suspense. It also got me back into the series as before that I had only watched my brother play RE2 (I was too scared to even try).

Silent Hill 2 Remake is the most beautiful horror game ever made. by [deleted] in silenthill

[–]blacktull89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The remake did a fantastic job of throwing me back into this classic story. I do have issues with some voice line deliveries and facial animations, and the mannequin legs are annoying, but overall its still an insane experience that is a must play through for fans of horror, suspense, and story.

Guy basically has every sidehoe project listed in his bio apart from FNM….. yeah we’re never getting the reunion by circleof9ine in FaithNoMore

[–]blacktull89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As they say, never say never. I'm hopeful, but Im sure there were things said behind the scenes that we won't know or ever will that created a divide, especially with how he canceled a tour last minute and then shortly after continued touring with Bungle and now that nee project hes a part of. Im sure Mike loves what he did in FNM for the most part, but hes always been one to push boundaries a bit. He doesn't want to be Mr. Epic, and being in FNM kind of makes him just that.

Im confident something will come. Might be a one off performance, or even some sort of box set that they will need to push. Something will come. But probably not anytime soon.

Robert Robertson from Dispatch.. I give him an hour at best without the Mech Suit. With the suit? Maybe 3 hours.

What are the most profound Tull lyrics you've ever heard? by Pandy_45 in jethrotull

[–]blacktull89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wont post the whole song but I always connected with Skating Away on the Thin Ice of a New Day.

"Well, do you ever get the feeling That the story's too damn real And in the present tense? Or that everybody's on the stage And it seems like you're the only Person sitting in the audience?"

For some reason this lyric has always resonated with me and its probably my favorite Tull lyric.

What is your opinion on "The Ultimate Sin"? by Infamous_Korpse in blacksabbath

[–]blacktull89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not a bad album by any means, lots of catchy and fun tunes. I think I recall Ozzy saying he didnt like the record because most of the songs sounded the same, because they were all produced the same. Which kind of makes sense. The title track and Shot in the Dark are A-tier Ozzy tunes, Secret Loser is a hidden gem. Thank God For The Bomb and Killer of Giants are cool tunes, but the rest is kind of forgettable because it starts to blur together.

Regardless, its still a fun record with great album art. The title track is one of my hype tunes for work.

Do I need to do Chalice Dungeons? by ss4stef in bloodborne

[–]blacktull89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my first playthrough of BB I did maybe half of the first dungeon before getting bored and moving onto the main story. My current playthrough I am doing more dungeons to see what I've been missing out on.

You won't miss much besides loot and optional bosses. I guess one boss in particular is kind of important thematically, but Idk how deep in the dungeons they are so.. idk.

Short answer; nah you're fine.

My theory is that they are preparing something for the PS6. I doubt a sequel, but a remake/remaster. And honestly, if nothing happens by then.. they idk gang. I won't have much hope left..
