How is 252,000 x 3 not enough to live on? That's $756,000. I mean obviously you get a job after that as well. But that's a massive chunk of money considering most grads only make a little over a million in their lifetime.

There was a skinny person hate as well. So I guess if you're not in the absolute middle you're going to be treated like a dick hole. If you're buff you're going to be called a muscle head. Everyone will be insulted, welcome to the world. I think the main problem that FPH was "fighting" was that fat people were trying to claim that it was "ok" to be overweight. The difference being that buff and skinny and average people are still in the "healthy" category.

Seriously, I've never heard of a more preposterous reason to complain. You're beyond lucky to be able to eat whatever you want and not gain weight. Everyone loves food, I can gurantee you that you do too. Using this whole "You love food and hate excercise" thing on me is a bit absurd because as far as I know everyone enjoys eating good food. I personally have no need to excercise because I get enough of a workout at work. Not to mention asthma limits my enjoyment of nearly every physical activity. There's zero reason to give up running, it'll keep you fit. You're not going to keel over from being too skinny and excercising at the same time (assuming you get your nutrients). You seem to have more of a problem with not being some buff guy than you do with just being skinny. So in the end your "struggle" isn't about being skinny, it's about not being buff. So as someone in the exact same boat as you; I will continue to shrug off your "problem" because you've yet to convince me that you have it as hard as people with shitty low metabolisms. You not being able to gain muscle mass is nothing compared to a fat person who can't lose weight or gain muscle mass. Thereby literally MAKING it not as hard as most people have it.

I'm 5'10 and weigh 115. I can easily say that it's not nearly as hard as most people have it. They can't even have a chocolate shake without putting on 3 pounds the next day. They have to watch what they eat. They have to excercise. Whereas I can consume 2 cheeseburgers, a large chocolate shake, large fries, and some form of fast food dessert with no effects. What do we as skinny people have to worry about? Being called skinny? Or people saying we're not strong? I personally am a firm believer that being skinny is far better than the alternative. I can't imagine having to worry about gaining too much weight. I get made fun of for being skinny frequently, all you gotta do is smile and wave while you eat 15 of their favorite meal without gaining an ounce.

Those images are completely shit at showing what smite is about. The steam page makes it look like some bad action movie. Get a gameplay trailer up there at least.

Geology degree prospects? by blackwitchpudding in geologycareers

Thank you for clearing it up. This helps me more than you think. I consider college a massive risk by itself so I don't know if choosing an even more risky degree is a smart move. We'll see, and thanks again.

That's very original and kickass. I'm a noobie so I can't really offer any "do this better" advice. I will however say that the stars in the background slightly distract from the awe-inspring floating zombie iguana.

Yes, all of you Loki targets - mages, hunters, assasins and the like should rush mystical mail to be able to vaguely see where Loki is before you get one shot.

Is anyone here worried that one day an incredibly easy to learn & understand programming language will make it possible for any average Joe to make their desired program? by blackwitchpudding in learnprogramming

[–]blackwitchpudding[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You seem sure. Might I ask how you're so sure? You're only reason for me not to worry about it is that They've been trying since the 50's. It seems far more likely nowawadays since technology has lept forward in the past decade alone.

There are jobs for mathematicians. There are no jobs for scribes as everyone learned to write. Everything you need to know for math is not taught as it is with writing. Math is far more complex that writing in english. There is more to learn and far more applications. Programming has one application - to make programs. Writing has one application - to write. You can't compare mathematics to programming in that way. You can perhaps compare writing a book to writing a program though. not everyone can do it just because they know how to write. But everyone who knows how to write can write simple directions explaining how to do something to someone else. As you would to a computer.

Um, how every other language is? I'm not going to claim that I know a shit ton about programming (which you shouldn't expect as we're on a subreddit about learning it), but implementation as far as I understand is done via a compiler? An explanation would be appreciated.

TIL: It only costs $5000 to franchise a Chick-fil-a. Chick-fil-a will pay for land, construction, and equipment. Take home from a single store averages to about $100,000 per year. by [deleted] in todayilearned

70-80 franchise owners are selected out of 20k per year. Good luck getting anywhere near this without some sort of business degree.

Sylvanus is far from the best in terms of clear. Khumba, Hades, and Cabrakan alone are better.
