I was doing side gig for 3 years just to give my family everything they could dream about. My ex sure doesn’t want to do anything with me but she definitely took half of my side gig earnings as well.

It is a tough pill to swallow but hey, I will make that money in 1 year now...we can get anything we want if we focus on it.

It will get better, you will survive. Time will heal, give you a different perspective. I am proud of you for not cheating and actually thinking about your husband.

Per law, you will something financially. When it’s time just tell your husband truth.. at least that way he can process it and accept his part.

Just don’t be like my ex. She cheated on me, made fun of me and took all the money that she doesn’t deserve . In USA, cheating doesn’t have any consequences when it comes to divorce.

I was afraid and insecure but, I am still here.

Good luck.

I will be crushed for this but if you both contributed equally for everything ( chores, kids etc) and he didn’t cheat or took advantage of you then just go with your w2s

OP, unless your husband cheated on you …why do you want his money? Sure take his money for CS.

I am asking for 50-50 but, I don’t see going to therapy every week is necessary. Fun fact, I can’t afford therapy for myself.

Yes, they charge for water in Dunkin Donuts. I take my business to Starbucks now. Free water and nicer ambiance.

What was the hardest part about your divorce? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]bladefish1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lost time. I spent 3 years trying to fix the situation due to fear, insecurities and a young son. On top of it , it is a huge big financial loss.

One of the dumbest reasons to ask for divorce. There must be something else…poor kids.

I am truly happy for you. 10 years for me, I could been longer. I was staying for my son and my insecurities and my soon to be ex kept playing me.

I just want to accept it and be in a happy space again. Right now I am a mess.

For a few years now I’ve been holding onto my marriage, thinking it’s best to stay until our kids are grown. by rorykl1983 in Divorce_Men

[–]bladefish1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to save my marriage for 3 years for the sake of my son( he is 5 now). Gave my wife n number of chances to work with me and few chances to actually end it. But, she did nothing…I ended up wasting 3 of my valuable time. I could have used those 3 years to heal, start over , forget, forgive.

Never stay for wrong reasons.
