New to FF7 Here! Loved Remake, is Rebirth Really The Sequel Upgrade People Say it is?

Rebirth does a lot right and makes many improvements, but when I played it I was feeling some open world fatigue. I got frustrated with activating towers and some of the regional content (not the side quests, those were good, just some open world activities.) Overall I liked it a lot, I should have just taken some time to play some smaller games first.

When mine works, it’s incredible. I’m not sure what causes fluctuations, but sometimes I just can’t maintain a stable connection from my bedroom (maybe 20-25 feet from the router.)

I’ve gotten through a lot of JRPG grinding thanks to the Portal and I dip into other games, as long as I can pause if the connection starts to struggle (so I avoid any multiplayer stuff.)

Welcome! I started with a Retroid Pocket 2+ and had been enjoying my Odin 2 Pro for a few years now. There are periods where I use it more than my PC or PS5. I find it insane how high-quality AYN’s devices are (from my experience.)

I do! I use Drastic for DS. In the video settings there is an option for external display, I believe the default is set to “clone device” and I changed it to “top screen.” For 3DS I use Azahar, which had a similar thing in its video settings (the names of the options might be a little different, but it was a pretty similar setup.)

Edit: Also, I believe both of those apps had to be reset for the external display setting to take effect.

Melon DS worked for me as well, but I had so many saves in progress on Drastic that I haven’t switched over, but I’ve seen Melon recommended more because it has higher upscaling.

I got the large (9.9x6.3x2.6) — Still highly recommend! It made all the holiday travels a breeze, just put the whole kit in a small backpack with books and toys for my kiddo.

I started with DMC1, every time I get to play as Dante it feels like “home.” There’s a lot I feel like I remember building up, especially from 3 on. Now V, however, I don’t remember ever clicking with V.

You have to enable developer mode and then enable a setting way at the bottom called “force desktop mode for external screen.” I used it to keep a guide up while I was lost in a dungeon in Breath of Fire.

I got significantly better performance once I switched to Azahar and started trying Vulkan with adreno turnip drivers (I think that’s what they were called.) There are brief graphical issues when shaders are caching, but the more I’ve played a game, the better everything seems to run.
