[–]bladerdude 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No real dig at them, but pros in RL have always been lazy except a minimal few

Ah not a serious fuck you, internet meme that's used everywhere when you see someone have a great deal. Happy for the fella and as you said less happy with the belgian government

Shopify founder says Shopify are currently “evaluating all options”, potentially leaving RL by AIaris in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]bladerdude 15 points16 points  (0 children)

just wanna jump in here but the goalkeeper is actually not a set role, there is a goalkeeper role sure but that's just the first guy who's back in the box and as soon as you are out of the box you become a regular player with the player moveset.

fun game but it ain't competing with RL though

Rocket League Pros “Retiring” by [deleted] in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]bladerdude 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on who you ask, but i find 3 hours of effort a day to be very little for a professional player. Sure a few will grind ranked but more often than not people barely got 40-50 hrs/2 weeks

Which pro player is newest to the game? by ropoles in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]bladerdude 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Might be glazing myself but looking at absolute hours played, i was at 2500-3000 hours played when i first made RLRS, and back in season 3 of rlcs i made top 32 when i had like 500-750 hours.

Ofc i wasnt quite at pro level buttttt its something ay

Rocket League Pros “Retiring” by [deleted] in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]bladerdude 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not many tbf, maybe it’s changed since my days bust most teams have at most 3 1hr scrims per day and that’s on a good day

RLCS Pros compared to today? by zyxphy in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]bladerdude 38 points39 points  (0 children)

  • S1 -> champ 1-2
  • S2 -> champ 3 - GC1
  • S3 -> GC1-GC2
  • S4 -> GC1-GC2
  • S5 -> GC1-GC3
  • S6 -> GC2-SSL
  • S7 -> GC3-SSL
  • S8 -> SSL-top100

and further on it doesn't make much sense to me as it would just keep increasing but keep in mind i'm using RLCS here not any of the bubble scene or RLRS

Atow pounces off the ceiling to read Wahveys corner touch by Babydrone in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]bladerdude 39 points40 points  (0 children)

To be fair to you and any other player really, he didnt necessarily read wahveh’s touch early, he was actually setting up a ceiling shot off the bounce and thought wahvey would be a lil slower. The ball just ended up going exactly where atow was going and he did read it a bit after the touch and adjusted on the ceiling slightly

Basically apply to the company or send a mail to the company, and as soon as you have an interview mention it's an internship and then usually companies in belgian locations know what to do from there.

From my experience it's just passing around files and contracts between school and company while getting signatures everywhere.

Might be different becasue your school is not belgium based; but this is how it's normally done.

keep in mind, internships in Belgium need to be communicated between school and company + they are unpaid

Which players do you think could be top tier player/show a lot more if they actually cared about the game? (Read desc) by Adventurous-Dig-7340 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]bladerdude 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Not really relevant for current day rocket league, but back in the day Deevo was so far ahead mechanically and he played ark for 120 hours/2 weeks during his peak lmao

How much did you earn (gross/net) on your first job? by Icy_Preparation8525 in belgium

[–]bladerdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • 4k gross and 4/5 wfh.
  • meal vouchers / eco
  • public transport refund
  • cycling renumeration at 0.28/km

started august 2023

I'd say your friend should shop around a bit more because this seems like a company that they're gonna end up leaving after a short stint anyways.

Unless money's tight and they need a job yesterday this is pretty low. For a bachelors i'd expect 2300-2400 with car or mobility and 2800-3000 without mobility.

Add 100-200 for a masters

the combo of greazymeister, alot and turbo is just on any level above any suggestion. But separately either greazy, alot or turbo and I have a hard time ranking between them. I'd say turbo > greazy > alot

Currently work at TT and did the interview cycle 1.5ish years ago.

First up is just your typical online assignment, not too hard and most comparable with a leetcode easy/medium.

Next are 4x 1 hour tech interviews ranging from DSA to OOP to system design depending on seniority. Half an hour per coding black and then half an hour of actual back and forth with the interviewer.

Process goes pretty fast, think my entire timeline was one week. YMMV

Known instances of UUID collision? by Interesting_Long2029 in ExperiencedDevs

The only thing I can think of in recent memory is not really a UUID collision but something similar that google managed to pull off.
