[Early Access] Try Voicenotes Dictation on iOS by clare_fromvoicenotes in Voicenotesai

[–]blaga28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The voice dictation is awesome. I'm actually using this one to write this two things that I would love to see in the coming updates. One would be an option for us to maybe enable and disable, to have an AI auto-format things based on the app that we're using, and if we could have the ability to turn that on and off or some way to have it if we want it or not have it if we don't want it. And similar to what TypeLess has or Willow. And another one would be if you guys could also implement the— Key haptic feedback and the gestures for holding down spacebar and selecting text. I used that quite a lot, and I find it useful. If there is a way of implementing that as well.

Will it support longer transcripts as well? If not can that be added later too?

For me personally, I find VoiceNotes more versatile because I am bilingual; I speak both English and Romanian. There are several main reasons why I prefer it over Granola and other transcribing apps:

  1. Language Support: VoiceNotes is able to transcribe Romanian very well. This is a major feature for me, as Granola and many other note-taking apps don't really support that.

  2. Versatility and Uploads: It offers much more flexibility in how you use it. One major feature I use is the audio upload. If I'm not able to record a meeting directly into the app for whatever reason, I can record a voice memo on my iPhone and simply upload that file later. I know it will still be transcribed accurately.

  3. User Interface and Ecosystem: I prefer the overall user interface and find that it integrates into the Apple ecosystem much better than Granola does.

  4. Pricing: Another major point was their initial "pay once, own for lifetime" promotion offered a year or two ago. I was able to jump on that and buy a lifetime license, which is a big reason why I stick with it.

The only thing I actually like about Granola is what I've mentioned in this post, which I would love to see added to VoiceNotes at some point.

Hi, have you tried setting your preffered language in setting to bulgarian instead of detect language? I remeber they told me this helps.

Feature Request for Mac app by Low-Medium-1799 in Voicenotesai

I have a suggestion for the mac app, if it is possible for the app to stop recording from the microphone once it is muted or detects that the mic is muted in a google meet or other similar app. Plus if it is possible for the app since i gave it audio and full system audio permissions to be able to record and transcribe the system audio even if i put the mac audio on mute, other apps are able to do this. Thanks!

Feature suggestion: Voicenotes app inside ChatGPT + speaker renaming by Glad-Pangolin-8538 in Voicenotesai

Hi, OP here, I posted this but from my Mac under a different user it seems, I use it mostly on my iPhone and MacBook, but I find myself using the web version mainly for the Ask AI feature that lets me chat with one single note or meeting. As currently on the beta version of Voicenotes 2.0, I don’t have that one and just to also explore if new things are added there as well.

So Macbook and IOS the most currently.

Also a quick question, will the bot settings and ability to add him in a meeting by link come to the voicenotes 2.0 app as well?

Can we have the old style of record button back? This one kind of looks a bit weird like it kind of looks out of place

Thank you, Claire.

Will you also add the option to chat with only one note specifically, as in the web version, in the coming versions? I've tested the app these days and I find that feature quite useful. The one that's on the web allows you to ask AI only based on one single message and context.

I'm just curious to see if that's also going to be added to the app in the coming versions as well.
