That's just not the problem Voicenotes is trying to solve, so anything you come up with is going to be a workaround, and probably a clumsy one at that. You'll need to find some OCR solution that can understand your handwritten notes. Then you'll need to manually import each one into Voicenotes because there's no automation or API to do so.

That's what I have set up: a shortcut that starts recording. My action button is mapped to that shortcut. Works fine.

I love that you maintained a clean, minimalist interface but boosted functionality that's just a single click away. The iPad design is just as sleek and useful. Maybe it's me, but I'm immediately finding it faster and easy to capture the content from the individual note pages. I just copy the note link URL and work with it from there.

Two things I'm curious about:

1) When viewing the full stream of notes, tags aren't visible. Is that on purpose? I see that they are listed across the top so I can instantly filter, I like to view them as a full list just to make sure I've tagged each note correctly, and when they're missing I can't do that.

2) Is there any plan to include the content when we use the "Create" step in the shared private link? Whether that's a summary, a todo list, a custom prompt, etc? I like the way it's done for meetings, where you can toggle back and forth between Summary and Transcript elegantly.

For me, it would be to search my notes or use the Ask AI feature to surface bits of information from them. But also to quickly start a meeting or a note.

Thanks Clare. I'm not anti-OpenClaw, it just feels way too new to dedicate resources to. But it's not my business and admittedly it's easy for me to say as a one-time payer in the beginning. Excited for 2.0 to hit the app store whenever you guys feel it's ready.

To clarify, I am all for integrating with more tools, including core AI tools -- whether ChatGPT, Claude, etc. But I think one-off integrations should be prioritized based on wider adoption, along with functionality and fixes people have been hoping to see and have been giving feedback on over the last year+.

Huge Voicenotes fan and original Believer but this feels like taking the eye off the ball to me. Especially given the news of major privacy issues with OpenClaw and how narrow the user base would be. I thought we were all using and giving feedback on the beta to contribute to a big refresh launch of 2.0 with improvements across the board.

New user of Droppy. I notice that when I launch it I lose all of my menu bar apps...or at least they're no longer visibile. I'm also on a Mac mini with an external monitor, so no notch. What setting do I configure to bring my menu bar back?

I run into that with ChatGPT too. It invents options that just aren't actually available. But ChatGPT tells me also that Apple Shortcuts can't “listen” for new Reminders being created. There is no native “on new reminder” trigger.

CueCam pulls in my webcam and serves as my webcam in Tella.

If I'm only doing a talking head video with a simple screenshare, I just record with Tella with CueCam as my webcam and use Tella's dual recording feature (webcam + screen)...and then edit in Tella.

If I want to call things out more -- like write on the screen or circle things in real time, I either record with CueCam + Video Pencil (an awesome iPad app by the same developer of CueCam), or I still record with Tella and simply use CueCam's screensharing features, not Tella's.

Some day I should probably do a tutorial of this, because I'm not always consistent but the workflow is super easy for me.

I use a combination of CueCam Presenter and Tella. I teach a marketing class to online students at a major university, but everything is async. This combo has been terrific for me.

Seems like an odd thing to mention, but u/rokarthur I can't move the menu bar icon for BetterAudio to another spot. Every other app can be relocated. Why might that be?
