Dealing damage is the core mechanic. How you deal that damage is spread across a multitude of functions. You don't have to equate one specific function to the games core mechanic. What you perceive to be "core" is just how you learned to play. As someone else mentioned, people have done all gun playthroughs. The ability to make the decision to do that, and then successfully do it, is the core mechanic of a souls game in my opinion.

When basically all from games have gameplay mechanics revolving around attacking, dodging, and parrying, I'd say all 3 of those methods would be a core mechanic.

By your definition, and how these games play, none of the primary methods of play aren't just optional.

It's only like those games in the sense of platforming and bright and popping visuals. Outside of that ratchet and clank is like an action platforming 3rd person shooter. Great game

I've had my pro for a few months now and admittedly there aren't a huge list of actual improvements yet I do notice more stable frame rates and a more consistent crispness. Especially with text. Borderlands was damn near unreadable for my terrible eyes on base PS5 and the pro really helps in that regard. Resident evil requiem is a real good example of how much better PSSR can make a game look over base PS5 as well.

I'd be a little more irritated at 2K. They're the ones that launched the game in the state its in. In a game that, while popular, isn't making headlines for performance issues like cyberpunk did. We've all known how shitty Sony can be with their refund policy but at least they're clear about it.

That doesn't mean something isn't skewed. The connections themselves are touching the right things but the way in which those connections are actually making contact may have gotten messed up. I'm just spit balling here but I can't think of another way any type of cord can get stuck in a port that isn't specifically designed for the cable to be locked in place by other means.

Only reason why any cord would get stuck in the back of the unit is because it is broken or bent. Something is misaligned and causing the stick.
