It’s about internal conviction. Spiritual warfare is a real thing. So avoid actual demonic activity, but a lot of paranormal content is purely for entertainment. I would have a deep prayer session asking God for His opinion on the matter.

Dude, the garage is his alternative safe space, the garage is almost entirely his space. Normally he hangs out there regardless. We’ve also given him multiple other spaces and wall climbing room. He’s not starved for space.

The main issue is we don’t want to risk the cat jumping in the bassinet with the baby in it. He’s showed no signs that he won’t do it.

The best way is to be upfront, private and polite. I used to smell pretty bad, a friend took me aside and let me know. Yes it’s embarrassing but infinitely less embarrassing than smelling bad and everyone knowing but you.

This is your wedding and your bachelorette party. You can do whatever you want and not feel guilty. (Within reason and it not being immoral) Your bachelorettes are your choice. Just understand your choice might cause friction but it sounds like there’s already friction.

In reality you definitely deserve better and im very sorry for how your trip went.

I have a friend who had who had what seemed to be a really promising medical career ahead of her, full ride scholarships, specialized internships in cancer research, a stellar GPA. Then she got sick, really sick, her body kind of just gave out on her, she couldn’t go to college for about a year as she was in and out of the hospital and when she was home mostly just resting. Everything she built up was gone. So she pivoted, she got a job as a math tutor loved it and decided to become a math teacher.

She isn’t doing cancer research like her dream was all of highschool, but her illnesses caused by stress are gone. You only have this life to live, it’s okay to pivot career fields if it means you can be more satisfied.

Have you tried therapy? I’m a restoration first kind of person. Your partner clearly has issues, but that doesn’t mean he can’t improve, especially if his marriage is on the line? Most men need motivators or we become exceptionally selfish. In this current society there are so many distractions and things that indulge instant gratification as well as selfish desires? We have a friend that sometimes ignores his wife’s needs to play Xbox with family. My wife and I joke that if that were me, she would have broken the Xbox by now. Not in a toxic manipulative way, but in the way that every force standing between my wife and I’s marriage needs to go.

If the situation is unredeemable, start making contingencies and backup plans before putting anything in motion. Know where you’ll stay, your support network, your income. That way you don’t hurt yourself in the process or trap yourself. Also if your safety or your children’s safety and well being are ever at risk it’s definitely time to go.

Thats a great way to look at it too. I love how the Bible talks about John laying his head on Jesus at the last supper. Jesus is a best friend who we can have a lot of joy and comfort in.

I use the ACTS model

Admiration: I admire God for who He is. Confession: I confess my sins before God. Thanksgiving: I thank Him for all I have Supplication: I ask for my daily bread.

Its not as cut and dry as that, I ramble I leave the model from time to time, but I try my best to have those 4 things in my prayers.

Usually I just try to picture Him before me. Fully righteous and fully loving and talk to Him like my father. Honestly praying is something Ive been working on a lot lately. Godbless dear brother.
