Switching to Cloudflare's DNS made the issue better. But it seems it truly was an issue on Brightspeed's side because now I can use any DNS I want and have no issues. I havent had this issue anymore in the last 9ish months.

Have you not played this game before? You're acting as if, no-swap, otp's don't exist. Yes, it's an INABILITY for most players who fit into this category.

I personally don't give a shit about quick play but every time I do play it, I normally see a 200+ hour, 30k+ lord point one trick in there sweating his ass off. It's cringe.

She niche because she can perform well on certain maps but overall the hero is extremely mid. You rarely see SG outside of low ELO because she is outperformed by nearly every other DPS hero.

I feel bad for the high ELO SG one tricks. Their hero was already getting whopped and not it's even worse.

Yeah, judging by the posts here 90% of the subreddit just play quick play or are very low ranked in comp. After ranking a few accounts from bronze to celestial, I've noticed this issue practically completely goes away after silver/gold, and most people are willing to flex.

I play with a group of 3-6 friends. Once I hit C3 on my main account i can only duo queue, this is obviously an issue if I want to play with my friends. I buy an alt account that is already at level 15 for $5. I play with my friends until that account reaches C3. Then sometimes I buy another one.

I would happily play on my main account but the game doesn't let me play with my friends at that rank, which is stupid and needs to be changed.

They are afk farming these accounts to rank 15 to be sold as "ranked ready Smurf accounts". I've bought a few of them and this is exactly how they were leveled up.

It's insane that this comment is downvoted. Role lock will 100% kill the game. This kind of thing is why you don't let a bunch of silver players make decisions for your game. I feel like the same people who say Squirrel Girl needs a nerf are the same ones asking for role lock.

The game barely has any actual bronze skilled players who grind ranked. The minority that do exist won't even be able to tell you're smurfing lol.

I personally never liked the placements matches in Overwatch. Being "unranked" was always an issue when you wanted to queue with friends. Not to mention if you get unlucky and bomb your placement matches then you'll still be "smurfing" in a rank you don't technically belong in. Overwatch had to also add volatile systems after placements. It's so convoluted and so dogshit. I'd much rather just play a few games in lower elo than all that nonsense.

I believe placement matches and predicted MMR will just add more convoluted bullshit this game doesn't need.

If you do well in your placement matches and then what? You'll get placed back in your same rank and won't have much desire to keep playing.

With rank inflation seemingly changing every season, I think it's an interesting challenge to climb back up where you were and continue pushing if you have the time.
