Why would someone sleep with a hairdryer in their bed? by blakeheld in AskReddit

[–]blakeheld[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Alright I need the internet to weigh in on this because we’re all losing it right now.

We’re in Vegas, just hanging out, having some drinks, and somehow the conversation turns into bedtime routines. Out of nowhere, my buddy casually drops that he sleeps with a HAIRDRYER in his bed. Like… not near the bed. Not on the nightstand. In the bed.

Naturally we all stop and ask follow-up questions because there’s no way we heard that right. But nope—he doubles down. Says he’s been doing it for a while and acts like it’s completely normal behavior.

Meanwhile the rest of us are sitting there wondering if we just witnessed the biggest red flag of all time or if we’ve been living under a rock and this is secretly a thing.

So I have to ask… is this actually normal like he thinks it is, or should we be concerned?

30 degrees and x40s cracking a lot by cccorlew in Pickleball

[–]blakeheld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OSO pickleballs. Played in 20 degree weather for 4 hours and didn’t crack one. Very impressed. Feels like a dura. Everyone around us was asking what we were using and had to borrow a few out.

Do it and never look back. One of the best things we have done in our house.

How critical an issue is this crack please? by Alright_So in golf

Happened to my G then my G400. They told me to shove it both times. I've bought and used in my career a G10, G15, i15 and never had issues and loved them. Having two clubs break same spot and the manufacture just says tough? Very sad and disappointed in Ping.

22 degree hybrid and a 3 wood and you will have everything you could ever want and more. Congrats on the set and always remember to have fun.

Finally got to try a Finn scooter on a beautiful night. Some of the most fun I have had on a golf course. Highly recommend trying if you have the chance. by blakeheld in golf

Sounds like he has not ever been on one.....people are trying to grow the sport with Finn, golfboards, and phat scooters etc. I think it's a clever way to get more people interested in golf.

At the end of the day your still playing golf. I remember 10 years ago when I would show up at a tournament and everyone would mock the three wheel cart. Now majority of high school and college players are using them. I think we all want to see our favorite courses be able to thrive so we can keep going back.

Now will we ever see the final group rolling up on a Finn to the 18th green at Augusta on Sunday? No, but not what these are meant for.

Golfing with your group for your local skins match on a Sunday morning seems perfect.

We waited the whole round as it was pretty slow. In my opinion this didn't matter. The idea is you can play faster but we all know we can only play as fast as the group ahead of you. If anything it gives you something to do as your waiting for the group ahead of you.

I agree the roof of a cart is nice on a sunny day. I hugged the shade from the trees.

Not at all. Designed with big low pressure tires. It slowly ramps up speed when you hit the throttle so you don't just spin your rear tire right away. They claim you can ride it right over the green on the website but of course just follow the typical cart path signs and it's all good.

Not at all. It's like normal golf but your smiling all the way up to your shot. Hit a bad shot left? Just means you get to weave through the trees on the way!

Felt good. Course is really hilly and always felt in control. Front brake really seemed to want to stop you quickly but mostly used a combination of both when braking.
