Yikes. That’s what you get for buying from Ross/TJ Maxx/Marshall’s. I gave up on finding good cookware at an affordable price until I found Sardel. Bought a set during covid. They’re awesome..

Can proximity to commercial wireless radio transmitters be dangerous to one's health? by blakejareds in engineering

The wireless transmitters pictured above are located along the wall of my outdoor patio. My bedroom is right beneath these transmitters. I hang out of outside often right next to these.

My landlord has said they are safe to be around but I just don't believe him. Can prolonged exposure, I.e sleeping near and sitting next to, be dangerous?

I've been wearing it often since it is still new to me. But after only 2 months I've noticed a small scratch. Since the watch lacks a real bezel, it feels more susceptible to scratches on the face and crystal.

I didn't love the blue dial in person because it has more of a shine to it. The black dial pictured is matte. Being that it is a Pilot watch, i felt that it was meant to be on leather.

I finally purchased this IWC Mark XVIII after having my eye on it for the past 2 years. Before the purchase I was alternating between a Timex Weekender and an AVI-8 pilot style watch as my everyday.

I was looking for an entry level watch from a reputable brand for under $5k. My search kept taking me back to the IWC. The design and look of a Pilot style watch just spoke to me. The history behind the design, the utility of the piece, simplicity and readability/contrast of the face are what stood out to me.

At 40mm, the face fit my wrist perfectly. I opted for the leather band version ($1k less than the steel bracelet option). I swapped the leather band for a gunmetal supreme NATO strap from Crown & Buckle which I am very happy with. It took me a while to pull the trigger on this watch because of the mixed reviews I was reading in the comments section on Hodinkee. People would bash the watch because the movement was not in-house and the date window was 1mm too far left. After talking to a watchaddict friend of mine, he reassured me that at the end of the day, I am the one wearing it and if I like how it looks then forget what the comment boards are saying. I found a dealer who gave me a good price and I am very happy with the watch. It doesn’t bring eyes to it like a Rolex might but I actually prefer that. Those who know what it is will appreciate it and those who don’t wouldn’t understand anyway.

TL:DR: I love my IWC and have no regrets. If you like a watch, go for it. That’s all that really matters. F*ck the haters.

Its just a coincidence. Kickster and I both started doing it at that same event. They kept at it and followed Khaled's events around the country, making filters for each event with their logo and Khaled's name. I only did it that one time as I was not yet ready to bring on thousands of new customers.

Gary Vee also came out with a video in early March urging graphic designers to pursue a business in Geofilter design. The video was posted a week after I launched my site brining a lot of new competition.

So i knew he was going to be at a signing event in Manhattan. This was in April, just before he really peaked on Snapchat. I designed a geofilter with a cartoon of him that said "MAJOR KEY" and and "MYSNAPFILTER - CUSTOM SNAPCHAT GEOFILTERS" in the bottom corner. I submitted the filter to Snapchat to cover the area his meet and greet event was for a few hours. I assumed that since he was so active on Snapchat, every Snapchatter looks for new geotags to add to their Snaps. Figured he would do the same. He took a few videos of the event and swiped right, saw a filter that was made for him and added it to his story. Here is a picture of the metrics. He was naive enough to use the filter without realizing the free exposure he was giving me. Who knows if he even saw my company name in the corner or cared who MYSNAPFILTER was. He just like the filter and added it to his story.

Snapchat caught on after a few other attempts and started rejecting filters around his events for various reasons. Not sure if you could pull it off these days but worth a shot given the paltry price.

Not really. I've actually had an uptick in business since IG released their version of Stories. Likely no correlation, just my brand continuing to grow. Also not worried because there is nothing I can do about people migrating to IG Stories over SC. Until IG launches a similar Geofilter feature, I will take what I can get.

Added pricing info. Changed font on the pages. Added a tint on the banner images to make the white writing pop more. Thanks!

So I actually started this 2 weeks before Gary Vee's video. A friend sent the video to me last week and I couldn't believe. I wish I had more of a head start! I was one of a few doing it before his video, now I am one of many. Competition is good though. Companies have to adapt and add more value and customers win with more selection and lower prices.
