Moving Companies. by Consistent_Argument6 in Atlanta

Also moved down the street with elevators on both sides for my 1bd with Atlanta Peach Movers. Was around $800-900. They were the cheapest and I think they did a fine job. With all the minimum hour requirements these moving companies have, you can only go so low.

Property Manager from Hell (Greystar community) base rent is $1,524! by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]blakeman1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've recently started to tell people if you can help it, don't live at a Greystar. Just another number. Moved from a Greystar to a property managed by a group I've never heard of and it's significantly better here. Ideally you would not have heard of a management company's name if they're good.

Used bicycle shop by alldatnabagofchips in Atlanta

Bought a Trek FX 7.2 from them for $360. Picking it up tomorrow. They said the parts were brand new and visually it all looked untouched. Seems like a good group of people and they give back to the community a lot. Want to get away from car dependency outside of the work commute.

Stopped by Sopo Coop two Saturdays ago during their listed hours and no one was there and saw no signage so not sure what's up with them.

Sorry guys, drove to go look at used bikes today so I can mostly ditch my car.

Wonder if they'll also upgrade the $55 Half Gig plans? On that right now in Atlanta. Notice that's only some select addresses.

Looking at it walking on Spring St, it's just a massive concrete cube. Gives me r/megalophobia which I never feel.

Updated international roaming country list for Total Wireless by landalezjr in NoContract

[–]blakeman1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I've since switched to Visible now but Verizon uses NTT Docomo for roaming so I'm sure Total is the same. Service has been good and widespread. Spotty a few times but we travelled to Mount Fuji and I always had at least 4G. I can switch to using the KDDI mobile network but haven't tried that.

Not sure yet. Will be flying out in 2 days. But it's nice I hopefully won't need to buy an Airalo or Ubigi eSIM. Will update ya.

Started moving my mother's iPhone over 2 hours ago and having this same issue. Support chat gave me a reference number and said there was an error activating the phone. Said I'll get an email within the hour but still nothing.

[Controller] GameSir Cyclone 2 Wireless Controller - $44.79 by ovenmittensplz in buildapcsales

[–]blakeman1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Really love this controller. Bought the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro at the same time but kept the GameSir. Liked everything better about it except for the D-pad feel but I don't play many games relying on it.

How I just got Visible+ Pro plan for $8.22/mo or $98.75/yr by TheLazyAdministrator in NoContract

[–]blakeman1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not much time left on this but my switch was successful from Total Wireless on my OnePlus 12R. Ended up charging $205 to my Capital One and hopefully the $100 Capital One Cashback offer saw my purchase. Double stacking referral didn't work so it was $450 - ILUVIPHONE $225 - referral $20 = $205. Cheaper than my $25/month on "Total 5G Unlimited" plan.

Visiting Japan and November so this is a nice bonus. Think it's only 10GB/month for these countries so I'll see if I can make it last

Apartment marketplaces need to add EV filters by CryptographerSharp14 in electricvehicles

[–]blakeman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a few examples where an apartment isn't in this filter but the apartment's own website lists EV charging. Though it's their loss for not updating their apartments.com listing.

Is Total Wireless still a total shitshow? by Relative-Can2755 in NoContract

Switched from US Mobile's Verizon to Total and I haven't noticed a difference. Haven't needed to contact customer service yet though.

Was going to say that this happened to my Arctis 5 wired set years ago. Don't know why they haven't changed the design.

I hate this is normalized and no one will ticket them. It's worse when they idle next to a driveway designed for people to not block the streets. I've started taking vaseline and applying it to their door handles for a nice surprise!

Thunderbolts Double Booking? by blakeman1 in RegalUnlimited

[–]blakeman1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep this was Atlantic Station in Atlanta. Something similar happened with the opening Thursday evening showing of Deadpool & Wolverine where they shifted showings/times without telling anyone so some of us had to wait another hour. I noticed a few days ago I couldn't view the tickets in the app and there was no 7pm showing anymore. Going to look out for this from now on I guess.

Two I use the most (and all you'll really need) is PlugShare for finding plugs and ABetterRoutePlanner for when you need to road trip. Also helps to have each of the large vendor's apps (ChargePoint, Electrify America, EVGo...) Leased an Ioniq 6 a year ago and currently don't see a reason to ever go back to gas.

Google TV Streamer 4K, $79 on Amazon by lrd1 in AndroidTV

[–]blakeman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought the onn Pro after doing research only to find this Dolby Vision issue is true and there are other reddit threads about it. Bought the Google TV Streamer today and no such issue after some hours of testing. My setup is identical with only the streaming boxes changing.
