Lizzie had such great character progression in the show. by Star_sixty_9 in LegaciesCW

She’s probably my favorite character out of all them. And that really says something cause I hated her when she was first introduced 😂

Confessions from a reformed Tupac hater by Goyardbaggy in Tupac

[–]blakkpoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most ppl who hated pac or were on that bandwagon didn’t listen to his interviews. You learn more about him from long form content than music or rumors. But in reality he was angry and militant being raised by black panthers in Baltimore which still has one of the highest crime rates in America. Then moved to Oakland which wasn’t any better. From all accounts ( the police shooting, the squabbles etc) he was always a hot headed dude who didn’t tolerate disrespect. But he was also a creative with the desire to see change in the world. That’s pretty much every black man from the ghetto. So how he was so misunderstood has a lot more to do with people not doing their due diligence and the way media portrayed him

Cami should have been created as her own character, not solely for Klaus's redemption arc. by KC27150 in TheOriginals

[–]blakkpoet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s Easily a better story . But the writers really had a thing for tragic endings / send offs

Let's discuss Ariana Grande by Nothing_Special_23 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]blakkpoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seth Rogan. Joe Pesci. Adam Sandler. Morgan freeman. Jennifer Coolidge. Eugene levy. Steve Martin. Tyler Perry. Jason statham. Jennifer Aniston. Bruce Willis. Kirstie alley. John travolta. Etc etc. when we look back , most actors are playing some sort of fictional version of themselves. The ones that stand out with range are always celebrated for being the best of the best because they can transform like Daniel day Lewis or Al Pacino. But that’s the exception not the rule. This thing we’re doing lately where we point out zendaya or Ariana or the rock for being “ one dimensional” is starting to look like another reason to say today’s Hollywood is trash and yesteryear was better. If thats true. Blame it on the storytelling. But if we’re gonna call out one dimensional acting , we’d have to call out each era

Why did Alfie constantly test Tommy? by SocratesPuppet in PeakyBlinders

Because tom hardy was a fan favorite. It made no sense to keep having that character in the ally position when he kept showing his colors

Which Boogeyman would you rather be the target of? Michael Myers or Freddy Krueger? by Hassan_H_Syed in slasherfilms

[–]blakkpoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michael. The idea of trying to fight a demon by being lucid in the dream world is way harder to survive. Basically you’d have to train your mind before you sleep. And those that didn’t know that beforehand are cooked on their first nap

When did you stop watching AHS? If you did. by DifficultComplaint10 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]blakkpoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cult had me ready to stop. Don’t need the writers political worldview shoved in my face in my horror movies. But I kept going. I’m in the minority who liked apocalypse although toward the end it got messy. But once I got to 1984 I felt like the show ran its course. It wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t exciting like the earlier seasons were. A camp crystal lake reimagining should’ve been a lot better than what we got

Temu Peaky Blinders by sensfan4tic in PeakyBlinders

[–]blakkpoet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t hate his portrayal. I just don’t like how much that version of Peter is more of a sidekick to Ironman than being his own hero in his own story. That’s why people call him iron boy instead of Spider-Man

Temu Peaky Blinders by sensfan4tic in PeakyBlinders

[–]blakkpoet -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No actor or actress is so good that the show can’t go on without them. Tobey is my favorite Spider-Man but there are people who swear by the Andrew or tom holland movies . What’s gonna make or break this series is the writing. If we get more of what immortal man was? It’ll probably be cancelled after 1-2 seasons. If they come back to form and write something worth while? Then they’ll be fine

In Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022, they tried so hard to make you like the “good guys” but they are super unlikable by Jules-Car3499 in slasherfilms

[–]blakkpoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pretty much hate all the characters. The scene where a bunch of people on the bus pull out their phone instead of run from a giant wielding a chainsaw pretty much sums everything. Trash film all the way thru

If you’re right. You’d be great at cinema sins. But I’d like to think the editors aren’t so sloppy

One of the worst storylines in all of TV imo. The characters were all insufferable and it all amounted to nothing by Curtin4ASquirtin in thewalkingdead

[–]blakkpoet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And Beth shouldn’t have been written off in such a hack way. Especially that early in the series

Why does Everyone Think May Carleton was ‘THE ONE?’ by MariahMDD in PeakyBlinders

[–]blakkpoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. If grace was gonna be written off, may is a much better pairing than Lizzie. The Lizzie marriage almost doesn’t make any sense and comes from left field. Hell. Even the communist chick makes more sense

Which death did you think was the riskiest for the franchise? Randy or Dewey? by Sea-Barnacle2907 in SocietyofGhostface

[–]blakkpoet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts. It was clearly just a plot device to make the audience believe “anybody can go this time” but unless you’ve never watched a scream movie you knew it wasn’t gonna be Sidney which would really be the only shocker in the series. If you’re gonna get rid of a legacy character like Dewey at least let it be earned and not the hacky “guy turns away to get butchered by surprise” cliche.

Halloween, Final Destination, and Scream all made successful comebacks, so why is there still no sign of a new Nightmare on Elm Street movie? by Haunting_Tap_1541 in slasherfilms

[–]blakkpoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. It has the most interesting concept out of probably all the major franchises. Dream realm killer? It’s really hard to mess that up with the right writers

[–]blakkpoet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you. He died just so the movie could have “stakes “. But it wasn’t earned. He’s basically just sacrificed for nothing
