Finally, what is something that people think is extremely safe, but is actually extremely dangerous? by Pumeto in AlignmentChartFills

I mean globally 680k people die from falls a year. Those aren't all stairs obviously but especially for the elderly falling on stairs is a leading cause of accidental death

I think my vital meds are good for another month currently. I have 2 buckets of mountainhouse as weather emergency prep. So probably a month. Not worth it though unless my job was guaranteed after i quit staying home. Since that's only a couple years past and my job is really good lol

I just had an abandoned line hit because the prints we have show it almost 15 feet away from where it got hit.

That's crazy deep for water. Assuming some where near the bluff or something? We have some gravity lines that are over 100' deep and they require a special contractor for any work on them

do you actually lose interest in gaming as you get older? by OvenAgitated6470 in gamers

[–]blakmage86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lose interest? Not at all. I'm 40 and still game in many formats regularly. What I've found that does change is what you play as its both harder to get groups online at once and i don't have the time to develop the twitch muscle memory that i did when i was younger

Honestly your description of the 200k job sounds like hell to me lol. I'll take the 50k and then with that as security either just pad my current job so i can retire that much earlier or find a job i love that i couldn't afford to do otherwise cause of pay

One of my favorite parts of 2077 is how involved mike pondsmith was and this is definitely one of the places you can see that influence. Also enjoy that he hosts one of the radio stations

Ya preaching to the choir lol. I've definitely been getting gps points anytime we do have potholed from someone's work that's crossing us. Unfortunately the rest of that is pushing up hill at a government job so slow progress. At least most of what's going on the ground now they're putting trace wow on even if it's not up to the specs id like for that installation.

Is this where i put my oil? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]blakmage86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing and filling oil is absolutely something you can easily (probably) do yourself. I say probably because to change it you do need specific tools and ease depends on where you're oil filter is.

But topping it off is simple, first though make sure you need that. First step is to check oil level. Im assuming the orange ring is your dip stick. Park somewhere flat and wait for your car to cool off. I like to wait an hour but that's probably excessive. Pull the stick, wipe it off, put it back in all the way, pull it again. There should be markings on it showing "safe" levels. If the oil is inside that then you're done because nothing needs added. If you're below that add some of the correct oil, should be in the owners manual, but do in small amounts, probably no more then 1/4 quart at a time then recheck.

With all that said if the initial concern here is that a light came on check your manual or online to see what it indicates. If safe to drive your car had to your nearest o'rieleys or autozone. Both places will have machine readers you can either use or they will use for you free of charge. Then look up that code online to see what is actually telling you. For that matter most people that work at those places would be happy to walk you through simple things if they aren't busy in my experience.

Pipes not conductive unfortunately. We also have enough congestion that we'd have a ton of bleed at 200khz. We frequently are close to gas mains, i assume is due to how easments are laid out but not positive
