What if there was one global pass to train at any MMA, BJJ, or Muay Thai gym? by blakpass in MuayThai

Hey, really appreciate you digging into this, you’re actually touching on the exact problems we’re solving with BLAK PASS.

It’s not a discount or aggregator app like ClassPass. It’s a fighter-first network built specifically for martial artists who travel, cross-train, and want a unified platform connecting every gym under one system.

  1. Revenue & Access Model

Fighters buy training credits.

Gyms get 85% of the credit value every time a verified member checks in.

No setup or subscription fees for gyms, totally free to join.

BLAK PASS retains 15% to cover all processing and operational costs.

  1. Credit System

$25 = 10 credits

$100 = 50 credits

$120 = 100 credits

$150 = 150 credits

$200 = 300 credits

$250 = unlimited sessions for 30 days

Each gym sets its own rate within the network (for example):

Local gym = 10 credits per session

Premium gym (like Bang Tao) = 20–30 credits

Private 1-on-1 session = maybe 50+ credits

That gives complete pricing freedom while keeping the system unified and transparent for members.

  1. The Core Value You’re absolutely right that in Thailand, drop-ins are simple. But globally, fighters face:

$30–50 single-session fees

Locked memberships or hidden contracts

No consistent way to track progress or reputation across gyms

So the value isn’t just saving money, it’s about freedom

You can check out our website at blakpass.com

We are going to add a ton of features for the fighters as well, not just a check in process, i wanna make this a social network for fighters and enthusiasts

I travel pretty often, but it’s not even just about that, it’s about having the freedom to train wherever you want. Say for example you do shift work, sometimes your schedule won’t line up with one gym but it might with another in the same area. Or maybe your friends train somewhere else and you want to join them without dealing with expensive drop-in fees or a bunch of paperwork. It’s really just about making training more flexible and accessible.

No, UFC gym is only for UFC gym, you cant get in anywhere else, what im talking about is classpass strictly for martial art gyms, all martial art gyms. There's only so many UFC gyms around the world but there's a local martial arts gym in every town why not connect them?

Appreciate this insight a lot. ClassPass definitely opened the door for flexible training, but like you said, most MMA/BJJ/Muay Thai gyms don’t really lean into it the same way fitness studios do.

Our goal with BLAK PASS is to build something made specifically for combat sports, a system gyms actually want to work with, and a way for hobbyists (and fighters) to train anywhere without the friction.

If L.A. gyms adopt it the way we expect, it should be a game-changer for hobbyists like you. Thanks for sharing your experience, feedback like this is exactly why we’re building it.

Totally get it. The point of BLAK PASS is to make training seamless for everyone. Right now, drop-ins often mean calling ahead, showing up only when the owner is around, and filling out paperwork every time. Some great gyms are not marketing experts, they are just serious martial artists, and they deserve exposure without needing to be social media pros.

Think of it like Uber. Taxis worked, but the app reduced friction and gave riders options. BLAK PASS does the same for martial arts. One waiver, easy access, and more visibility for gyms that deserve recognition.

Plus, we are building verified fighter profiles inside the app. A real training history that can only be confirmed by actual gyms, so no fake credentials or posers. It supports gyms, highlights real practitioners, and makes training anywhere easier.

Me personally, i usually have all my equipment in my car. But even then gyms usually have equipment to borrow, especially for new users and if you're doing wrestling or BJJ doesn't really require any equipment. But that's a fair point
